Even though the 'Dancing With the Stars' champion wears her engagement ring at a recent event in Las Vegas, she reportedly removes it once the cameras were off.
Split rumors are circling around Karina Smirnoff and her fiance Brad Penny. Less than two months after it was revealed that she has postponed their wedding plans, the current champion of "Dancing With the Stars" is said to have called off her engagement to the Detroit Tigers pitcher.
"They are just two different people," so an inside source told E! News about the couple. Karina herself was snapped wearing her engagement ring when posing for the camera at the 1st Annual Winter in Venice Celebration at the Palazzo Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas on Saturday, December 3, but the site claimed that she would remove it when the cameras were off.
Karina and Brad began dating in October 2009 shorty after meeting through former "DWTS" contestant Chuck Lidell. They announced their engagement in October 2010. Around a year later, the former fiancee of Maksim Chmerkovskiy revealed that she has postponed her January 2012 wedding to focus on "DWTS".
Met after the show on October 17, the 33-year-old dancer told PEOPLE that her work with celebrity partner J.R. Martinez has left her with no time to plan for the wedding. "There's absolutely no time," she said. "I want to enjoy this and I want to enjoy planning the wedding and doing it together is just really hard."
