"American Idol" alumni Kris Allen is to open for Lifehouse on a number of dates. The rock band announced via Twitter that they have mapped out a Fall tour, saying "We are pleased to announce that we will start our Headlining tour with special guest @krisallen Oct. 15!"

The road show will begin in Mashantucket, CT and visit at least 25 other cities across North America up until the end of November. The band are supporting their fifth studio album "Smoke and Mirrors" which was released in March this year and debuted at number six on the Billboard 200 chart.
