"Lately" music video from Billy Ray Cyrus' band Brother Clyde has been made public without any appearance from the group's members. Instead, it features what happened lately in the world, showing massive flood, earthquake and hurricane destroying the earth. It is not only about natural disaster but also shows that some destructions are caused by human, such as oil spill and war.
"I thought it was quintessential to this video not to have any band performance ... no pictures of my face," Billy Ray explained to The Boot. "It's about the world, the human race and Mother Earth. We wanted the video to stay in that realm. We were looking at everything that's happened lately -- the earthquake in Haiti, the floods in Tennessee, the oil spill -- there was stuff on the news every single day that reflects more and more what 'Lately' is about."
"Lately" is taken from Brother Clyde's forthcoming first studio album "Brother Clyde" which enlists Trace Cyrus and Dolly Parton as featured guests. The self-titled effort is to come out in United States on August 10.
