Ellen Page Plays Assistant to Diane Keaton in 'Tilda'

The young star is a morally conflicted assistant to Keaton's Tilda in a half-hour comedy pilot by HBO.

Ellen Page is bouncing to TV series, joining Diane Keaton in HBO's half-hour pilot. The comedy project is called after the main character's name, "Tilda", who is played by Keaton.

According to Deadline, Tilda is "a powerful female online Hollywood journalist with a no-holds-barred style." EW took note that it "may or may not be loosely based on powerful and much-feared Hollywood blogger" Nikki Finke.

Meanwhile, Page would be Tilda's creative assistant named Caroline who is caught between following the corporate culture of the studio she works for and following Tilda, who has taken a keen interest in her.

"Tilda" is coming from Bill Condon who directed and co-wrote "Dreamgirls". Together with Cynthia Mort, Condon wrote the script and produced the pilot. Filming is scheduled to begin next month in Los Angeles with Condon as the director. No clue yet when the premiere will happen.
