'Mad Money' Stars Hit the Green Carpet
January 11, 2008 05:01:12On Wednesday night, January 9, the Westwood's Mann Village Theater was filled with Hollywood stars as it hosted the premiere of Overture Films' comedy movie which due to hit theaters on January 18. At the special star-studded screening, the "Mad Money" leading lady, Katie Holmes, didn't walk down the usual red carpet, instead they grazed the special-dollar green carpet.
In attending her first premiere event as Mrs. Cruise, Holmes was accompanied by her husband, Tom Cruise and joined by her co-stars Diane Keaton and Queen Latifah. The 29-year-old actress was dressed in a silver beaded Armani mini-dress. Aside from the three leading ladies, the premiere was also attended by the many of the cast members, including Adam Rothenberg, Finesse Mitchell, J.C. Mackenzie and Peyton Smith. It was also attended by its director and writer, Callie Khouri.

The beauties thereby join the previously announced fellow actresses like Cate Blanchett, Penelope Cruz, Rachel Weisz, and Kate Winslet, giving more highlights to the anticipated event for sure. Out of the four, only Paltrow and Keaton who has been honored the Oscars as best actress, the former in 1999 through her role in "Shakespeare in Love" while the latter in 1978 for hers in "Annie Hall."

Joining forces together, Diane Keaton, Dax Shepard, and Liv Tyler have signed up to take part in an indie feature titled "Smother" for Inferno Distribution, Variety has reported.
The three stars will come under the direction of first-time helmer Vince Di Meglio who will also work on the script alongside Tim Rasmussen. Meanwhile, the movie's story focuses on a thirty-something guy who gets fired from his job while coming under pressure of his wife who desperately wants a baby and being overwhelmed by his mother who has decided to settle in his house.
