When he's on duty on the red carpet of 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, Adam Lambert promises that he would be honest in criticizing the arriving celebrities' fashion but won't be mean about it. The "American Idol" alum who has a thing with fashion has been tapped to be the fashion correspondent of ET when the event takes place on January 31.
"I'll be ok," he rated himself as a fashion police. "I love clothes, I love fashion. I pay attention to that stuff. I'm a big fan of most of the people that will be there." How far he would go giving opinion, Adam said, "I'm overly honest, so that will probably show through. I won't be mean though. I'm not mean." On the red carpet, Adam will be accompanied by ET's Kevin Frazier.
Adam said in the newest issue of Vman magazine that his sense of fashion is kind of old. "What I do has been done before," he said. "It's glam. I'm inspired by the '70s and '80s. [David] Bowie is a huge influence. So are hair bands."
Meanwhile, the nomination of this year's Grammys is led by Beyonce Knowles who has ten chances of winning a trophy. Taylor Swift follows next with eight nominations. Both are confirmed performers of the biggest event in the music industry.

Then get off the sight...Adam can do anything....I am tired of that damn Taylor Swift...Keep putting he there and it will eventually run everyone off....I love Adam and he knows what he is doing....when he is over the grammys are over for me...don't care to see anyone else......for sure...

Go for it Adam. I think it is great. He has so much fashion sense that don't think it will hurt him at all.
Adam Fan is so right and every thing you said. Adam should jump at every thing he should be inside interview people who are at the gammy's not talking about fashion yea he loves fashion but not everyone like his style. he has an old style. ever since the ama's people want adam to be that person that don't care and do and say what they want. Adam is being set up to look like the bad one.
When is the tranny going to get lost. I am sooo sick of his ugly mug. He has more craters than the man-in-the-moon.
whatever- stop clicking on titles that contain his name if you dont care !!!! he will be great doing this & whatever else he wants to do- he needs to put his face out there everywhere thats how people that havent paid much attention... start paying attention. And they should- he's the best thing that happened to music in a long time.
Adam can do ANYTHING! And he's just gonna have fun with this. . . what an incredibly talented, kind, hard-working, genuine, HOT guy. . . he's amazing!
Now I have a good reason to watch the Grammys - all the awards shows are pretty boring, so this should bend things out of shape a bit...
I LOVE Adam, but I'm not sure that fashion critic is what he should be doing. I hope it comes across ok for him but I'm afraid people won't take him seriously. He should be inside presenting an award not commenting on everyone's outfit. oh well....he's charming so maybe it will all be good!

Angela, if you're so sick of seeing him, then stop clicking on sites that mention "Adam Lambert", it's that simple...anyway, I think Adam will do AWESOME on the red carpet..can't wait!!

I think he will do just fine. I just hope he wears the suit he wore when he sang the rat pack song "Feeling Good". I thought that made him looking smokin' hot.
I don't think he should do it. But Adam loves this sort of thing, and like he says, WHY NOT?
First, I was thinking he should not do it. But ADAM is not stooping low as a poster said but just shows he's not arrogant in accepting it but will have a helluva fun with it. Again, it proves ADAM is a humble person and does not take himself seriously and his famous line says it all: It's not that deep! ADAM just wanna have fun and it's one job ADAM fits in perfectly. I think this is a BIG mistake! Adam does not want to put himself in the position of critiquing other artists on what they are wearing! One of his most endearing traits is that he is gracious and kind. He knows how to take criticism and holds his tongue about others' performances, etc. This will set him up to rub somebody the wrong way. Adam could never be mean. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body, as his mom says. But, why put yourself in that position? Just to be at the Grammys?
I agree with Adam Addict. Adam should be onstage giving or getting a Grammy. Okay, it isn't his time yet, but his time WILL come. It does cheapen his attendance to have him there as a fashion commentator. As amazingly and stunningly fashionable as Adam is, he should be the subject of fashion discussion, not the commentator. He needs to be PATIENT!! We are his loyal fans and we're not going anywhere. I am worried that musical artists will start to look down on him, when he is a better singer than any that will be nominated that night. Oh well, I guess we'll see how it turns out. Love love love Adam Lambert!
Oh please no Adam! Don't stoop so low! You should be a Grammy Star, not a red carpet Joan Rivers type. That's not you! It's brings you down a notch and Grammy attendees (your colleagues) won't like it. That's a gig you should have turned down.
