The model-actress, whom Law previously dated while he was shooting "Sherlock Holmes", has given birth to a baby girl named Sophia earlier this week.

AceShowbiz - Jude Law's former girlfriend Samantha Burke has given birth to the actor's child, a baby daughter. A representative for the actress-model confirms the news, telling Us Weekly the newborn infant named "Sophia arrived on September 22 and weighs in at 5lbs, 12oz" adding that "the baby and mom are doing wonderful."
Providing no word if Jude was present by Samantha's side while she was in labor, the representative simply reveals, "Samantha Burke is overwhelmed with joy at the arrival of her beautiful and healthy baby girl, Sophia." Jude himself has not yet addressed the baby news.
Back in late July this year, Jude Law's representative publicly confirmed that the actor's ex-girlfriend, Samantha Burke whom he allegedly dated when he was shooting "Sherlock Holmes" in New York, was pregnant with his baby. "Jude Law can confirm that, following a relationship last year, he has been advised that he is to be the father of a child due in the fall of this year," said the representative.
"Mr. Law is no longer in a relationship with the individual concerned but he intends to be a fully supportive part of the child's life. This is an entirely private matter and no other statements will be made."
Newborn daughter Sophia is the first child for Samantha and is the fourth one for Jude. The 36-year-old film star has had three other children with former wife Sadie Frost. Their children are; Rafferty, Rudy, and Iris.
