Storyline for Two 'Sherlock Holmes' Sequels Is Planned
November 28, 2009 02:11:17Though it is still about a month away until "Sherlock Holmes" hits theaters, two sequels have been planned. In an interview with Empire magazine, actor Robert Downey Jr. revealed that he and several filmmakers have had ideas about how storyline for the next movies will be.
"Between Guy [Ritchie-director] and me, the missus (producer Susan Levin) and Joel Silver (producer), we definitely know what we would like to do for the next two sequels," Downey Jr. said. He then added, "But I want to add a massive disclaimer - I'm just generally a confident person. I've no idea where anything is going to go."

Based on Lionel Wigram's upcoming comic book, this action drama will present a new portrayal of Arthur Conan Doyle's most famous characters. It will see Sherlock Holmes and his partner Dr. Watson on their latest challenge. Having lethal fighting skills in addition to his legendary intellect, Holmes attempts to bring down a new nemesis and unravel a deadly plot that could destroy the country.

'Sherlock Holmes': Extended Trailer to Air During 'Family Guy' Special
November 02, 2009 02:11:37Warner Bros. is planning to present an extended trailer for the December-released "Sherlock Holmes" during "Family Guy Presents: Seth & Alex's Almost Live Comedy Show". The news about the trailer airing came up as this Guy Ritchie-directed adventure thriller stepped in to be the sole sponsor for the TV special, which is set for November 8 broadcast at 8:30 P.M., to replace Microsoft.
FOX made the announcement during the pre-show of Game 3 of the World Series on Saturday, October 31. It is still unclear whether the trailer will be weaved into the "Family Guy" special, but the network has mentioned in the Saturday promo that a sneak preview would run during the show, which could mean the trailer may be featured as a separate spot that runs before or after the special.

Brought forth by The Movie Box, this two-minute plus video opens to similar footage to the previous trailers. However, the last third of the sneak peek does feature many never-before-seen footage, including the one that shows Holmes experimenting on a dog.
Previously, leading actor Robert Downey Jr. has talked about portraying the titular character. "Sherlock Holmes is easily the toughest job I've ever had," the two-time Academy Award-nominee told MTV, before describing further about the character. Brad Pitt in Talks for 'Sherlock Holmes 2'

Pictures was quick to squash that the actor is taking the role of Holmes' nemesis Moriarty, a new report has come in suggesting that "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" star is in talks, not for the first film, but rather for a possible sequel.
The Hollywood Reporter's Risky Business blog broke out the story that Warners is planning to develop "Sherlock Holmes 2" and 45-year-old Pitt has had discussions with producers to carry on the villain role in this new installment. Though so, it is noted that there is no deal in place for him to take the part just yet.

Though containing pretty much similar footage to the first trailer, this brand new sneak peek at director Guy Ritchie's new take on the legendary detective and his crime-solving story still reels in a number of never-before-seen footage.
The freshly-released trailer takes another look at the slow-motion bare knuckle fist fight between Holmes and his opponent. Unlike the first trailer that sees Holmes landing his fist on his opponent's face, this new promo video displays the detective blocking a hit with his left hand and striking a blow with another hand. A scene where Holmes is stunned by Watson's blow on his face is also shown here.

Sherlock Holmes Deals With Women's Butcher

Getting the story from one of its readers named "Jack the Ripper", IESB teased parts of the details, noting that the movie will be set in 1891 London and opened with a narration by Dr. John Watson.

June 05, 2008 10:06:47It seems that Hollywood still couldn't get enough of Arthur Conan Doyle's iconic detective Sherlock Holmes. Though there are over 200 movies had been made based on this well-known fictional character, another feature film adaptation of Holmes is about to be developed.
To make the newest Holmes movie, Warner Bros. Pictures has attained acclaimed British filmmaker Guy Ritchie to tackle the project. The husband of music legend Madonna has been set to direct the flick taking the place of Neil Marshall who was earlier attached to direct. Other than directing the film, Ritchie is also tapped to rewrite and polish the script from Michael Johnson.

March 17, 2007 09:03:16Forming lavish pact with producer Lionel Wigram, Warner Bros. Pictures is set to develop "Sherlock Holmes", a big screen adaptation of the man's upcoming comic book of the same title, Variety has reported.
Wigram's vision on the famed fictional detective, created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, is said to have him lost some of his Victorian stuffiness and got more adventurous, including playing up his skills as a bare-knuckle boxer and expert swordsman as he goes about solving crimes.

I' ma huge fan of Robert Downey Jr. and I think this part will totally bring out his best. I think this was the perfect part for him!
