Michael Jackson's burial has been postponed again. On Friday, August 21, a representative for the Jackson family, Ken Sunshine, confirmed the superstar won't be laid to rest until Thursday, September 3.
According to Ken, Michael will be buried at 7 P.M. PST in a private ceremony at Holly Terrace in the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif. Only family and close friends will be invited to attend the service.
Ken, however, didn't offer to the press reason for the delay.
Earlier this week, Joe Jackson told reporters that his late son Michael Jackson, who passed away on June 25 after suffering from cardiac arrest, will be laid to rest on August 29, on what would have been the King of Pop's 51st birthday. The burial was confirmed to be kicked off at 10 A.M. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Los Angeles.
The burial plan, nevertheless, was later postponed with Joe telling TMZ exclusively that Michael's burial would be staged Monday, August 31. At that time the older Jackson was quoted as telling the site, "there are things the family needs to get in order before Michael is laid to rest" when explaining the reason that prompted the delay.
