Zac Efron Grabs Three 2009 Teen Choice Awards

The 'High School Musical' star has been announced to be the winner of three kudos at the 11th annual awards, collecting Rockstar Moment and Choice Movie Actor for Comedy and Music/Dance.

AceShowbiz - 2009 Teen Choice Awards is on the way at the Gibson Amphitheatre, and Zac Efron has come up as one of the early winners at the award show. The 21-year-old actor has grabbed three kudos from the awards' 11th edition, two for his performance in "17 Again" and one for "High School Musical 3: Senior Year".

The third "High School Musical" film brought Efron prize for the category of Choice Movie Actor: Music/Dance. Meanwhile, the "17 Again" movie won him Choice Movie Actor: Comedy and Choice Movie: Rockstar Moment. For the Rockstar Moment kudo, he beat out among others Jim Carrey, Anne Hathaway, Paul Rudd, Jason Segel, Mike Tyson and Bradley Cooper.

Teen Choice Awards gives away awards for movies, television, music, sports and pop culture views. Its winners are determined by votes from teens aged 13 to 19. The voting line at Teen Choice Awards 2009 has been opened starting Monday, June 15. The show will be aired Monday, August 10, starting 8 P.M. Eastern on FOX with Jonas Brothers serving as both hosts and performers.
