"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" could be director Michael Bay's last "Transformers" feature project. Having stated earlier that he would take a break before tackling "Transformers 3", the 44-year-old filmmaker recently told WENN that should the third installment of the transforming robots series get the go ahead from film bosses, it will likely to happen without him on the director's chair.
"After the three and a half years I've spent making these movies, I feel like I've had enough of the Transformers world," the man who is known for his explosive action sequences opened up. He furthermore fessed up on what he wants to do next, saying "I need to do something totally divergent, something without any explosions."
On the possible cause of him moving away from big budget blockbusters, Bay pointed out on the negative reviews he gets even before the critics even see the movie he made. "It's easy to go shoot an art movie in a winery in the South of France. But people have no idea how hard it is to create something like Transformers," he said. "They (the critics) review me before they've even seen the movie."
Though nothing is official yet, "Transformers 3" is reportedly aimed for Independence Day holiday in 2011. In the meantime, its predecessor "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" will be available in U.S. theaters next Wednesday, June 24.
*UPDATE: Director Michael Bay has fired back on the circulating rumor that he is quiting "Transformers" franchise. Posting a message at his Shoot for the Edit forums, he wrote, "Hah, love press how they spin. Never said it - just wanted a vacation is more to the point. And no I don't read the good or the bad reviews."

hey i loved watching transformers...yeah i agree that the humour added to this movie transformer 2 has spoilt few scenes...but still its one of my fav movies...and i want Micheal bay to come with 3,4,5,6,7,8...and on...part s of transformers....BUT PLS DONT ADD ANY HUMOUR TO IT....KEEP IT STRICTLY A COMPLETE ACTION MOVIE.....

Michael Bay has fucked the whole Transformers' franchise! Why put the military into the film? Why can the shard resurrects Megatron, Jetfire but can't resurrect Optimus? Why does Optimus battle three decepticons and then all the other autobots conveniently show up right after he gets killed? Why does a transformer needs to fart and cry tears? Why the hell is there an autobot heaven? Why the hell does Sam die and then go to the autobot heaven and then get sent back to life? If all the 7 primes are in that heaven then why is not Optimus in there? why... Ahhh... this michael GAY lord has fuuuckkked the transformers forever, I'm sooo pisssssed with that retard, he needs to get his head stuck up his ass and never come out in public again!!!
the first transformers was pretty badass, but the second was handled like a fucking joke. it had sweet action sequences, but the sophomoric humor completely killed the mood that the action set.
