Michael Bay destroyed the Transformers series with his first movies I have no desire to watch Bay put another nail in this coffin. He's not a Transformers fan, he focused too much on humans, and he whored the franchise out for money to General Motors and the U.S. Army. Bay should step aside and let someone who knows the series direct instead of pimping out another cheap whore for him to profit off of.

I didn't expect a lot out of the first one, I was a skeptic of it and never even went to go see it in theaters. But after watching the first scene when Blackout transforms, I fell in love with giant transforming robots again. I seriously can't wait to see the 2nd movie. It's going to be AWESOME! <3 To Generation One, Chill, dude. Seriously. Things change OK? And everything is about money these days, so I wouldn't pin this only on Micheal Bay. The writers are the ones who wrote the script and they could only do so much with a limited budget. I mean, it cost them a good couple grand to make the robots' mouths MOVE! Not only that, but how cool would the movie have been if Bumblebee had remained a little yellow Bug? I enjoyed G1 immensely. I grew up with those cartoons and I regret NOT seeing the 1st movie in theaters. So quit being a drama queen and get over it. No one's forcing you to watch this movie.

as a longtime fan of the original transformers... i loved the first one, adn can't wait for two. i disagree with the sentiment that the story was too focused on the humans, and that that ruined the movie. there's nothing wrong with looking at a story from a different perspective. nothing at all. if you want everything to be exactly the way it was originally, go watch the original. remakes change things. deal. with. it.

posted by Onlera on Sep 07, 2008

You people are all on crack! Is this site just for people who want to kiss up to the movie in question or do you accept real criticism? Michael bay bastardized the transformers when he made the first movie and continues to do so without reservation. The allspark? what was that about? The quintisons created the transformers the autobots as builders and engineers and the decepticons and guards and soldiers. They rebelled against their creators and took over cybertron but soon the opposing natures of the two machine races lead to war as the decepticons wanted to wage a war of conquest across the universe the autobots want to spread knowledge and enlightenment across the universe. The resulting war uses all the available energy in cybertron's solar system and so the decepticons set out to find more energy the autobots follow them and the resulting space battle leads to the leaders and entourage of both races crashing on earth millions of years ago. Then both races are awakened in our time and the fight begins again. Sounds like a much better backstory then that allspark stuff doesn't it? Well that's cause its the original story. if it isn't broke don't fix it IMHO.

when u think about it after the 80s movie the storyline went out the window.thought the human element gave the movie move basis than watching a revamped g1 clone.

Everyone who says this movie is going to suck is to big of a nerd. Sorry that your silly comic book/cartoon version has been tampered with. It's 2008 and it is about money. The first movie was bad a** and the second one will be as well.

posted by hammons87 on Oct 10, 2008

um, why the heck are you all always negative against all movies! have you ever herd of the saying, "if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all"! Whatever!!!

posted by maffew on Oct 23, 2008

I have to say I'm pumped that there's going to be a second transformers film coming ot in 2009, but I must ask what are they battling for this time? Like the allspark is gone! I must comment on those who gave the first and the second low ratings, so what they showed the human more then the robot who cares! Also what's wrong with y'all, I swear you people are as bad a Roger Ebert he's always puts down the good movies and giving the really crappy movies a good rating and I am not just saying that it is true and let me tell you I'm not standing up for Michel bay or any of the actors, I'm standing up for the movie, because I don't care who is in the movie n'or do I care who is directing it n'or what the storyline is, a movie is a movie so SHUT UP! Also to Roger Ebert, drop dead you retarded old f**k you wouldn't know a bad movie or a good movie if it bit you in the @$$!

Hey all, I believe they are fighting over energon in this one. The all spark provided energy to the transformers and now that it is destroyed, there is no more... or so we thought. In L.A, energy from the all spark was transferred to an underground hanger and when all transformers sense its energy, all hell breaks loose! Starscream (rules) take over as Leader of Decepticons but as some Megatron-true-followers dont like Starscream (bunch of sooks) they set out to retrieve Megatron. Oh and umm... Soundwave takes the spark (blue thing in his chest) out of Optimus Prime and gives it Megatron.
