"Smart" and "athletic" are the two words that Robert Rodriguez uses when he was asked by MTV News to comment about "Twilight" hottie Taylor Lautner. The filmmaker goes on singing his praise for the 17-year-old star, saying he knew from the very beginning of their first meeting for the casting of "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D" that Taylor will be a famous film actor.
"He was the first actor we saw for 'Sharkboy and Lavagirl' and we picked him right off. He was the first actor who came in, and we knew he was the guy. He had so much personality," he explained to MTV News at the "Star Trek" premiere in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 30. "It's no surprise to me that he was going to go on to great things. We knew it immediately when we saw him."
Prior to his starring role as Jacob Black in "Twilight," Taylor Lautner has starred in a number of big screen flicks as well as small screen projects. As of press time, Taylor is filming the upcoming drama-romance-thriller "The Twilight Saga's New Moon," which is slated to be released in U.S. theaters on November 20 later this year.
