'Gossip Girl' Siren Blake Lively Often Feels Like Tranny

Blake Lively

Feeling insecure with her own body, Blake Lively has admitted that her large figure often makes her feel like a transsexual.

Gaining her popularity from her starring role as Serena van der Woodsen in "Gossip Girl", Blake Lively admits she often feels insecure about her body, telling Allure magazine she sometimes feels like a transsexual. "I feel like a tranny a lot of the time," she is quoted as saying.

Asked on what makes her think so, the screen beauty states, "I don't know, I'm ... large? They put me in six-inch heels, and I tower over every man. I've got this long hair and lots of clothes and makeup on. I just feel really big a lot of the time, and I'm surrounded by a lot of tiny people." At the end she concludes, "I feel like a man sometimes."

On her often being compared to other blonde Hollywood babes, Blake tells Allure, "I'm blond, and I have a small dog, so I try to avoid looking like a piece of bubble gum." Her full interview with the publication is on its May issue, which will hit the newsstands next Tuesday, April 21.

Most recently, Blake Lively and her actor boyfriend Penn Badgley were spotted departing from LAX airport for an international flight to Thailand on Sunday, April 5. It is not known if the pair is having some vacation or completing their work commitments there.

Some people are just born to be constantly offended. @uranidiot:your interpretation is as good as mine, neither of us is psychic. I just like to give people the benefit of doubt. She is talking about herself and how she feels her gender, not talking about your narcissistic mug.

She's says she "feels like a man" because the implicit assumption is that transsexual women are really men in drag. She's not saying she feels like an ftm (gender theorists on this post--please come back to the real world). She's saying she feels like a large, gangly male to female transsexual who is attempting to present as female but ends up looking large and awkward like a man in drag. Hence, "I feel like a man sometimes." Blake Lively's comment is not meant to belie any personal, enlightened conception of gender theory. She's large, tall, wears a lot of makeup, has full, thick, long hair, and towers over a room in her heels like many a stereotypical glamour "trannies" who she perceives as "really men." Thus, "I feel like a man sometimes."

Blake is a beautiful woman. She may feel like a man sometimes because of her size, but she hardly looks like your average transsexual.

Omg, how stereo typical can some people be? How in the world, would she even know what it is to "feel like a" Transsexual. Being a Trans woman myself, I find this very offensive.....all of us aren't large like u Blake :P

True transsexuals hate being called tranny, and if looking like her makes her feel like a transsexual, I give up. As a transsexual myself, I would swap her features for mine anyday, and she can suffer the verbal abuse I do, then she would discover how lucky she is to look as gorgeous as she does.

Sorry I posted twice.... I thought my first one did not go through. My second post under the name "brendaQG" is inferior to the first one... could you delete it.

As a transwoman I do not feel offended by her use of words. Much more interesting is her saying "sometimes she feel's like a man". A transsexual can feel masculine and be as true a transsexual as those who feel feminine. Just ask Buck Angel, or any other transman. Furthermore I do not think that one need be transgender to express masculine and feminine traits. If she feels like a man some times... embrace the feeling then let it go when it goes.

I am as true of a transsexual as any. I do not find her use of wards insulting. Much more interesting is that she said she sometimes feels like a man. Let us not forget transsexuals who feel quite manly are as true as those who feel quite feminine. Just ask Buck Angel or any other transman. Further speaking as a transwoman I think, and feel that one can express various masculine and feminine sides. With or without being transgender.

?? Is Blake saying she sometimes feels like an FTM, or is this just one of the most insensitively transphobic comments I've heard lately?

Awwww! Blake, I just want to hug you! I don't know of a single girl that doesn't feel insecure, if your tall you feel too tall and your looking down at people, if your short you feel like a midget and always loking up at people. Your Beautiful, inside and out, so really thats all that matters
