Feeling excited about his girlfriend Miroslava Vavrinec's pregnancy, Roger Federer has announced in a post on his official site that he and Vavrinec will welcome the baby later this summer. The infant will be the pair's first child.
"Mirka and I are excited to let you know that we will be parents this summer! Mirka is pregnant and we are so happy to be starting a family together," so read the professional tennis player's post. "This is a dream come true for us. We love children and we are looking forward to being parents for the first time. Mirka is feeling great and everything is going well." At the end of his post, Federer wrote, "Speak soon and thanks for all your continued support!" The due date and sex of their upcoming baby are not disclosed though.
Roger Federer and Miroslava Vavrinec, who is a former Women's Tennis Association player, have been together since they first met at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He arrived in Indian Wells, California, earlier this week for the Masters tournament.
