It has been the talk of the town as well as a hope for George Clooney to come back to "ER" but it was never this close. Sources are spreading news to several publications including People and RadarOnline that the actor will do the show that made him famous, one last favor by reprising his role as Dr. Doug Ross.
While no rep from Clooney's camp or NBC has shown up with a comment, sources are telling Radar that he will come back for one last episode. So secretive that co-creator John Wells even ordered a closed set that only a few cast and crew members are allowed to participate. No further details are shared, but ER will wrap up the show on April 2 after 14 years surviving the TV world.
If indeed Clooney is in for a reprisal, then he will join fellow ER alums like Anthony Edwards and Noah Wyle who have returned earlier. Previously, John Wells said that should Clooney decide to say yes for a come back then it will be a last minute and impromptu drive. "It's George. We'll be shooting down there at the end, and if he comes by and says he wants to do something, he'll do it," he said.
