Lil Wayne Added as Musical Guest at 2009 Grammys

Lil Wayne will be seen taking the stage of this year's Grammy Awards, making a live appearance. Beside the rapper, another musical act scheduled to sing at the upcoming ceremony is British band Coldplay.

Previously, Katy Perry and Jonas Brothers have also been announced to entertain music fans at the Grammys. While there hasn't been any word on what single will be delivered by the Jonas boys, it is confirmed that Katy will be performing "I Kissed a Girl" along with contest-winning videos of her fans singing the hit single.

Lil Wayne has been revealed as the singer topping the nominations list of the 51st Annual Grammy Awards. Bagging eight counts, he placed his sixth studio LP "Tha Carter III" into a battle for "Album of the Year" with Coldplay's "Viva La Vida", Ne-Yo's "Year of the Gentleman", Robert Plant and Alison Krauss' "Raising Sand" and Radiohead's "In Rainbows".

2009 Annual Grammy Awards meanwhile will be held on February 8 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles. It will be broadcast live on CBS from 8 - 11:30 P.M. (ET/PT).
