Trailer to award-winning "The Hurt Locker" has just been released. Less than two minutes long, the video footage introduces first the elite bomb squad unit before moving on showing the chaos and dangers they are facing in present-day Baghdad. Filled with explosions and gun fights, the sneak peek displays how the team try to disarm deadly bombs which come in many shapes.
Based on recently declassified information about an elite Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team in present day Iraq, "The Hurt Locker" follows an EOD unit as they are forced to play a dangerous game of cat and mouse in the chaos of war. Placed in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every object could be a deadly bomb, they must now work together to survive.
Starring Jeremy Renner, Ralph Fiennes, Guy Pearce, Anthony Mackie, Brian Geraghty and David Morse among others, the war film is directed by "Point Break" helmer Kathryn Bigelow. Premiered at the 65th Annual Venice Film Festival, Venice, Italy, back in 2008, it has collected four kudos from the festival and two nominations for Renner and Mackie from 2008 Independent Spirit Awards.

EODFrogman1B87 you are an insecure idiot that don't have pride in your own job, that's why you put your nose where it don't belong.
There's a reason the name on the Bldg is NAVSCOLEOD....The Navy has the only true EOD Unit. Army is comprised of White-Trash Rednecks, Marines are so squared-Away they can't function out-side the box and Air Force EOD should have kept thier job as Radio Shack assistant managers.....
You guys are ridiculous. How about a little pride and professionalism? You think you sound like a hero?? What happened to just knowing you're the best, shutting your mouth and be damned what anyone else says. It's insecure pricks that are ruining USNEOD.
No kidding, once again Navy EOD takes the unsung hero bit.
I don't know how many times Navy EOD came to rescue the Army after taking live IEDs into their truck and killing the whole team. Real smart, HOOOAHH or what ever you turds say?
In the final scene they have to disarm a flash-bang set up outside the TOC by pale faced insurgents.
This is where the real techs are. Don't let these soldiers fool you.
