War Film 'The Hurt Locker' Welcomes Trailer

In the trailer of the award-winning war movie 'The Hurt Locker', an elite bomb squad unit is faced with an onslaught of bombs and snipers on daily bases.

Trailer to award-winning "The Hurt Locker" has just been released. Less than two minutes long, the video footage introduces first the elite bomb squad unit before moving on showing the chaos and dangers they are facing in present-day Baghdad. Filled with explosions and gun fights, the sneak peek displays how the team try to disarm deadly bombs which come in many shapes.

Based on recently declassified information about an elite Army Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team in present day Iraq, "The Hurt Locker" follows an EOD unit as they are forced to play a dangerous game of cat and mouse in the chaos of war. Placed in a city where everyone is a potential enemy and every object could be a deadly bomb, they must now work together to survive.

Starring Jeremy Renner, Ralph Fiennes, Guy Pearce, Anthony Mackie, Brian Geraghty and David Morse among others, the war film is directed by "Point Break" helmer Kathryn Bigelow. Premiered at the 65th Annual Venice Film Festival, Venice, Italy, back in 2008, it has collected four kudos from the festival and two nominations for Renner and Mackie from 2008 Independent Spirit Awards.

I think of all of the services EOD teams deserve a raised glass but the fact is that the Navy guys just get a lot more training. When Delta force first went into the mountains of Tora Bora they had 4 Navy EOD technicians with them - not one army EOD operator. It wasn't until two years into the Afghan war that Delta started taking Army EOD techs - after JSOC trained a special unit of Army EOD guys to specifically accompany DELTA. I think that says a lot about the capabilities and flexibilities of the Navy EOD teams.

So a navy chief says we are all turds? Good on you , chief! You're a real class act! And for the rest of you Navy folk... why do you think you're so dang special? The difference between us is... you go to jump and dive school Who gives a rats behind? Just because you are one of the only jobs in your branch that DOES anything doesn't make you cool. Homos.

EODFrogman1B87 you are an insecure idiot that don't have pride in your own job, that's why you put your nose where it don't belong.

There's a reason the name on the Bldg is NAVSCOLEOD....The Navy has the only true EOD Unit. Army is comprised of White-Trash Rednecks, Marines are so squared-Away they can't function out-side the box and Air Force EOD should have kept thier job as Radio Shack assistant managers.....

You guys are ridiculous. How about a little pride and professionalism? You think you sound like a hero?? What happened to just knowing you're the best, shutting your mouth and be damned what anyone else says. It's insecure pricks that are ruining USNEOD.
