Zac Efron Refuses to Build Career in Music Industry

Saying that he has nothing to impress music lovers, Zac Efron refuses to embark on a solo career as a singer.

Actor says that he will not try his hands at the music industry. "Never," he says when asked if he considers to be a solo singer by releasing a debut album. In a further explanation, Zac reveals his reluctance saying, "I don't think I could contribute something to the industry that wouldn't be something you've seen before."

Zac became popular among young audiences after he appeared in 2006 Disney Channel Original Movie "High School Musical". He teams up with girlfriend and in a single, called "Start of Something New" for the TV movie.

Following the movie's huge success, he has been involved in the two of the television film sequel as well as lent his vocal in the movie soundtrack. In the sequel of the Disney's TV movie, "High School Musical 2", he sings several songs, including "Work This Out" and "You Are the Music in Me". Meanwhile, in the latest sequel, "", he teams up again with Vanessa in single, "Right Here, Right Now".

Most recently, Zac has been booked out by New Line Cinema to star in a comedy film "Seventeen Again". Slated to arrive in theaters next year on April 17, the movie mainly talks about an unhappy businessman who wishes to go back to his past in order to correct all his mistakes.

i reacon even though Zac can sing AWESOME on movies i would rather him be an actor then a solo singer!... good on him for making that decision!...

another comment, while zac continues to maintain that he will not pursue a music career, the comments that you attribute to him as having been made "recently" were actually made in a rolling stone article over 1 year ago.

your facts are quite mixed up in this article. who is doing your research? after the first high school musical tv movie, there was only 1 tv sequel, aptly named high school musical 2. the second sequel is a theatrical release, not another made for tv movie. this is coming out oct.24 in theatres. finally, he is not booked to star in 17 again, he has already made the movie.
