Ellen was one of the Hollywood lesbian celebs who positively responded to the California Supreme Court's dismissal of the state's ban on gay marriage last month. In the wake of the official dismissal, she announced publicly during the taping of her "Ellen DeGeneres Show" her plan to wed longtime lesbian lover Portia.

She soon thereafter was reported to have been planning to make a pre-wedding trip to Australia to meet Portia's family. She reportedly is set to pay a visit to Portia's grandmother who won't be able to travel to the U.S. for their upcoming wedding.

Ellen and Portia have been together since 2004. They currently reside in Beverly Hills. Exact wedding date and venue are kept under wrap though. Ellen's Friday Daytime Emmy winning was her fourth consecutive.
