MediaTakeOut broke the news that Fantasia Barrino and her boyfriend, rapper Young Dro, are engaged. The site furthermore claimed the couple are planning to wed this fall.
The wedding date and venue were not disclosed at press time. However, it was claimed that Barrino and Dro are "planning a small event for family and friends."
Barrino, who's an R&B singer and Broadway actress, is best known as the winner of the third season of the television series American Idol in 2004. Her first album, "Free Yourself," was certified platinum and earned her four Grammy nominations.
As for Dro, he's a notable rap artist who is signed to the Grand Hustle label. It was his debut album "Best Thang Smokin'", released in 2006, that catapulted him into fame.
Neither Barrino nor Dro commented on the engagement and wedding reports just yet.
