There he goes. After the many false publication concerning his love life, Tyrese Gibson steps up with confirmation concerning the much-talked engagement and baby shower.

On the engagement, the R&B singer put to rest rumors he's engaged to singer Brandy, officially confirmed that he indeed is engaged to his girlfriend, Norma. "There's no truth to the rumors Tyrese proposed to Brandy; he actually asked his girlfriend to marry him," a representative for Brandy confirmed in a statement.

Greater than that, Tyrese and Norma are expecting their first child together. Tyrese's representative confirmed the good news to People, adding that the star proposed to her during a baby shower, Brandy hosted for her at her Los Angeles home on June 7th.

And so the official confirmation made by both parties ended the persistent wrong rumors.

Tyrese and Norma made headlines in January when he was being investigated by Los Angeles police after being accused of punching her twice when she was 11 weeks into her pregnancy following a "heated argument." Norma's lawyer, however, claimed the report as "distorted."
