Canadian rock band Nickelback is one among numbers of stars to be inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame June 9th.
There are eight Canadians slated to be inducted into this year Canada's Walk of Fame, ranging from musicians, actors, athletes, to journalists, thanks to their great contribution to each of their work field that proves to make famous their beloved country.
Naming the eight lucky honorees are rock band Nickelback, Hockey Hall of Fame goalie Johnny Bower, paraplegic athlete Rick Hansen, actresses Jill Hennessy and Catherine O'Hara, actor Gordon Pinsent, director/producer Ivan Reitman, and journalist Lloyd Robertson.
The inductees' names were announced at an event this weekend and they will all be officially inducted June 9th at the 10th anniversary gala hosted by Emmy and Grammy Award-winning actor, television director, producer and writer Eugene Levy.
Canada's Walk of Fame acknowledges the achievements and accomplishments of successful Canadians. It consists of a series of stars in 13 designated blocks worth of sidewalks in front of Roy Thomson Hall, The Princess of Wales Theatre, and The Royal Alexandra Theatre on King Street and Simcoe Street in Toronto, Ontario.
