"Ugly Betty" won four awards out of the 7th nominations it got at this year ALMA Awards, which ceremony will be televised June 5th on ABC.

AceShowbiz - "Ugly Betty" was not that ugly at this year American Latino Media Arts (ALMA) Awards at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, California Friday June 1st. The American television dramedy series won four out of the seventh categories it was nominated for.

The hit TV series earned the awards for the categories of Outstanding Television Series, Mini-series, or TV Movie; Outstanding Actress Television Series, Mini-series, or TV Movie for its star America Ferrera who plays the role of Betty Suarez; Outstanding Supporting Actress Television Series, Mini-series, or TV Movie for Ana Ortiz for portraying Hilda Suarez; and Outstanding Writing Television Series, Mini-series, or TV Movie for Silvio Horta.

It, elsewhere, lost the categories of Outstanding Supporting Actor Television Series, Mini-series, or TV Movie for Tony Plana; Outstanding Supporting Actor Television Series, Mini-series, or TV Movie for Mark Indelicato; and Outstanding Writing Television Series, Mini-series, or TV Movie for Dailyn Rodriguez.
