Rage Against the Machine Deserved Closing 2007 Coachella

Rage Against the Machine drew a mass of screaming crowd when it appeared as the last act of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival this year.

Saving the best for last, 2007 Coachella Festival only pumped the adrenaline the right way. Reunited Rage Against the Machine closed the festival to a screaming audience who seemed to wait only for that moment.

Zack de la Rocha who left the band in 1999 entered the stage holding his fist up high in attempt to deliver the first message, "Keep Fighting!" He then clarified the idea in several songs that boasted his heavy sound such as "Bulls on Parade", "Killing the Name", "Freedom" and "Guerrilla Radio".

The curly haired singer managed to slip in some of the band's opposition to the "right-wing purgatory" in between the songs. He railed against the war in Iraq and addressed the current U.S. administration, "They should be shot as any war criminal should be."

Rocha was joined by his fellow band members such as drummer Brad Wilk, bassist Tim Commerford and guitarist Tom Morello. The latter came to the spotlight when he delivered "Know Your Enemy" and made it as if the band never took a hiatus.

The band's reunion show was one of the most anticipated performances in this year's festival that was held April 27-29 in Indio, L.A. The festival absorbed nearly 60,000 people despite the 3-digit frying temperature. The rap-rock band's second reunion stop will be Rock the Bells festival in July and August.
