In the anticipation of Mira Nair's latest work "The Namesake" to hit theaters, LX.TV has placed on its website a video interview with the noted filmmaker hosted by SuChin Park from MTV News for an episode of the network's "Drinks w/ LX."
Provided a great insight into Nair's experience in making the dramatic feature, which is adaptation of Jhumpa Lahiri's National Book Award-winning novel of the same name, the interview is available at LX.TV.
Set to be released under Fox Searchlight Pictures banner next Friday, March 9, "Namesake" centers on a young American born to Bengali parents who attempts to search for an identity to hold onto inside all this cultural confusion. Included in the cast are Jacinda Barrett, Gabriel Byrne, and Zuleikha Robinson with Kal Penn playing the lead character.
