Still into comedic genre, funnyman Carlos Mencia has agreed to play a role in "Seven Day Itch", a new directorial stint of the Farrelly Brothers, Production Weekly has learned.
Billed to portray a sadistic hotel manager, Mencia therefore will join the likes of Ben Stiller, Michelle Monaghan, and Malin Akerman in the cast. Filming is scheduled to begin next week with taking locations around Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Cabo San Lucas.
Scripted by Farrelly Brothers and Kevin Barnett, pic focuses on a man named Eddie Cantrow, played by Stiller, who unexpectedly finds his soul mate while taking a honeymoon in Mexico with his new bride. Akerman will act as the wife and Monaghan as the object of Cantrow's affection.
Mencia, who was born in Honduras but raised in L.A, currently serves as the host of his own show on Comedy Central, "Mind of Mencia." He recently lent his voice to THINKFilm's "Farce of the Penguins" together with Samuel L. Jackson, Alyson Hannigan, and Whoopi Goldberg.
