What happened to the postponed Brando's movie plan after his death?
The fans of the late Marlon Brando should cross their fingers that the postponed Brando's screenplay can finally start the production. The plan was actually set as the mark for the legend's return to the silver screen, but was then a totally delay due to the returning star's death back in July 2004.
After since, the planned "Brando and Brando" remained as a "closed-case" for the Tunisian director, Ridha Behi, who actually aimed in making the movie as his English-language debut.
However, based on the details told in The Independent, the Brando-movie project has come back to track, with several adjustments. The movie was planned to tell the story of a Tunisian, Brando's biggest fan who is highly interested in US culture and takes the journey all the way to the country just to meet his life-time idol. The Tunisian center role is told to resemble to Brando himself. The new plan for this new screenplay, with the new title plan: "Citizen Brando", remains centering on a Tunisian, one of Brando's biggest fans.
Yet, unfortunately, there has been no further detail on who will share the credits in casts, though in the first movie-plan, Johnny Depp, Jack Nicholson and Sean Penn were about to be taken into. In fact, there has been another obstacle, that is, to find another perfect resembles from the legendary Brando since the actor Behi had in 2004 has gained more weight and lost other resembling factors.
It is then indeed a big movie plan with big effort to accomplish.
