International superstar Andrea Bocelli is about to kick of his New York Philharmonic debut in September later this year, singing four performances of romantic arias.
The tenor will sing the likes of Verdi/Berio's "Romanza," Verdi/Mercurio's "Non taccostare allurna," Denza's "Occhi di fata," Bellini's "Malinconia, ninfa gentile" and Donaudy's "Vaghissima sembianza."
Asher Fisch will conduct the concerts, scheduled to be held September 6-9, just before the orchestra's official opening night Sept. 13.
