Andy Garcia and Forest Whitaker have joined the cast of "The Air I Breathe," to be directed by Jieho Lee
More stars joining the already exist cast of "The Air I Breathe." Among the new comers there are Andy Garcia, Forest Whitaker, and Mexican actress Carmen Salines.
The threesome will join Brendan Fraser, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Kevin Bacon. With all the cast on board, the crime-drama flick is slated to start shooting Thursday Jan 26th, in Mexico City.
To be directed by Jieho Lee from a scrip he wrote alongside Bob DeRosa, "The Air I Breathe" is based on an old Chinese proverb that breaks life down into four emotional cornerstones: Happiness (Whitaker), Pleasure (Brendan), Sorrow (Sarah), and Love (Kevin).
Happiness centers on the plight of a spiritually bereft banker who finds himself only after he loses everything and resolves to rob a bank. Sorrow follows the story of a reckless female pop star who is at a turbulent point in her career. Pleasure follows the tale of a gangster who can see the future. And Love tells the story of a frantic doctor desperately trying to save a patient's life.
