Red Hot Chili Peppers and Weezer have been tapped to headline this summer's Las Vegas' centennial celebration, which is scheduled on July 2, 2005 on the grounds of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
There will be 50,000 free tickets for the show that will be distributed from April 18, 2005, via the event's official Web site; http://www.vegasrocks100.com.
In addition to the Vegas bash, Collective Soul will also headline the related "Road to Vegas" tour, a 10-date outing that kicks off May 27 in San Francisco, which promises interactive Vegas-themed pre-concert attractions, including gaming lounges, Elvis impersonators and showgirls.
