'What Happens in Vegas' Under Box Office Watch

Coming into theaters a week after the blockbuster film made its smashing debut, "What Happens in Vegas..." will be faced with a great challenge to win moviegoers' hearts, especially since it will be released into the theaters on the exact same date as the forthcoming family movie "Speed Racer" on May 9. Still, some movie critics believe that the 20th Century Fox's romantic comedy offers more than what meets the eye and will appeal to young people.

Pairing up two comedic and lovable theps, Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz, "What Happens" perhaps gives out a predictable and no-brainer story as what is claimed by Louise Keller via UrbanCineFile, but it still offers a comedy movie that "never pretends to be anything other than what it is". Supporting Keller's comment, Andrew L. Urban of UrbanCineFile added that the movie is more likely to be "a good date movie" as it delivers what it has promised. Joe Leydon of Variety moreover emphasized that the Tom Vaughan-directed film won't be like other comedy movies as it maintains its indulges from the beginning until the end.

'What Happens' Celebrating LA Premiere

Days after celebrating its world premiere at Odeon in Leicester Square, London, romantic comedy "What Happens in Vegas..." once again rolled down its red carpet for another premiere event. This time, the special celebration preceding the theatrical release of the 20th Century Fox's movie was held on Los Angeles on May 1.

Unlike the world premiere which went by without one of its stars, Cameron Diaz, the latter event saw both of its stars, Ashton Kutcher and Diaz grazing Mann Village Theatre's red carpet. It was also attended by some other cast members, including Lake Bell, Michelle Krusiec and Rob Corddry. Additionally, several other Hollywood big names were also making an appearance on the occasion. They were Bai Ling, Brooke Burns, Diablo Cody, Eva Longoria, Jason Goldberg, Soleil Moon Frye, Tamera Mowry and Vince Vaughn.

Five Clips Coming From 'What Happens in Vegas... '

The 20th Century Fox's romantic comedy movie about two strangers accidentally got married after a night of drunken party in Las Vegas, "What Happens in Vegas...", has five new clips to be watched online. Though the running time of the clips exposing the Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher are varied from 44 seconds to few seconds over a minute, the snippets still let out what the movie would look like.

In the first clip, the resentful couple act out a forced kindness to one another to be taped by their friends. The set up display of affection is started by Joy when she gives Jack a pack of beer stating that it is her gift as she tries to be a good wife. Baffled by Joy's pretentious act, Jack pays back by giving Joy a long smack on her lips and then carries shocked Joy into the apartment. The second one let out their meeting with a marriage counselor which ends up terribly.

Despite the fact that the 20th Century Fox's forthcoming romantic comedy movie is entitled using the 'Sin City' name, "What Happens in Vegas..." didn't see the famous city the place to debut the film. Instead, it was premiered in London, England. Taking place at Odeon in Leicester Square, the Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz-starrer film celebrated its premiere on Tuesday, April 22.

Unlike many other Hollywood films, the Tom Vaughan-directed film's premiere was attended by a few of the film's stars. The two cast ensemble spotted on the special night were Kutcher and Lake Bell, whereas the leading lady Diaz was nowhere to be seen. Allegedly, the "Charlie's Angels" star couldn't attend the premiere because she is still coping with the passing of her father. Though lacking the Hollywood big names, the red carpet was still made lively by many British famous names, such as English lingerie model Danielle Lloyd and singer Natalie Imbruglia.

The 20th Century Fox have released the first trailer of Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher's romantic comedy "What Happens in Vegas...". The video footage are showing the first glimpses into the funny film that is set in the Sin City.

The two-and-a-half minutes video opens with the introduction on the two main characters who eventually ended up married in Las Vegas after a crazy night. Awaken the following day realizing that they were marrying strangers, their problems got even bigger when one of them won a huge jackpot after playing the other's quarter. Trying to get the money for oneself, the newlyweds plotted ever-escalating backstabbing schemes to drive each other crazy.

It's fun to spot big Hollywood names appearing in just a blink of moment in a film feature, and this time, it's apparently Queen Latifah's turn to do so.

That's right, according to The Hollywood Reporter, the Oscar nominee is about to play a cameo role in "What Happens in Vegas...", 20th Century Fox's upcoming rom-com flick toplined by Ashton Kutcher and Cameron Diaz. What cameo she will make, however, is being kept under wraps for now.

Backing up earlier report from LatinoReview.com regarding the change of director in "What Happens in Vegas...", Variety has revealed that Tom Vaughan is indeed replacing Julian Farino as the helmer of the flick, a comedy romance of 20th Century Fox production.

Farino, who directed a number of "Entourage" episodes, is said to depart the project due to scheduling reasons and recently got reported to helm "The Year of Living Biblically" for Paramount Pictures.

A major change reportedly has been made to "What Happens in Vegas..." regarding the one taking the directing reins.

According to LatinoReview.com, Julian Farino, who is supposed to helm the flick, is no longer attached to perform the duty and has been replaced by "Starter for 10" maker Tom Vaughan instead. For Vaughan, the task therefore will be his second directorial stint as he previously only helmed short features and several small screen productions before "10."
