'Wanted 2' Finds Reason to Bring Angelina Jolie Back

's assassin character in "" has a reason to return to "". Having claimed earlier that he was still "trying to figure out what's the motivation for her to resurrect", director Timur Bekmambetov recently told MTV that he has already had a reason that makes it possible to see her again in the sequel.

Gushing about it, Bekmambetov said, "But there has to be a reason for her to come back... and we know the reason. I think we found the reason for her to come back." He also explained how Fox will get recovered, saying "If you remember from the first film, we have a recovery room with the baths of wax. We know how to do this, but it's still tough to do, because the bullet is inside her head."

"James McAvoy will be in the movie, and he will try to wake up our Fox," so claimed the "" director as quoted by Sci Fi Wire.

However, when pursued further on where Fox currently resides, the 48-year-old evasively said, "She's in a bath with wax." The wax bath he is referring is the healing bath which is seen used in the first film by the characters to recover from their wounds. Previously, Bekmambetov noted that he is looking for ways to bring Jolie back, stating, "We are working hard to wake her up. She was deadly wounded."

Director Timur Bekmambetov has shared details about his future plan with "", including on the sequel's preparation as well as the possibility of to return. To Russian newsite RIA Novosti, the man behind "" uncovered when he plans to kick off the sequel, saying "In July we will start preparation for the film."

The 47-year-old helmer furthermore elaborated on when the principal photography should be starting. "I think in the late autumn or winter shooting will be performed," he said. "The shooting will take place in America, India and Russia." Bekmambetov, in addition, promised to bring back to life Angelina Jolie's character, Fox who ends up dead in the first movie.

While many were surprised by the picking up of "Pooh's Heffalump Movie" co-writer Evan Spiliotopoulos as "" scribe, creator Mark Millar thinks that Spiliotopoulos is the perfect man for the job. The comic book writer has come in defense of Spiliotopoulos, writing in his Millar World forum, "Never listen to any commentators as they never know anything about who's coming back, etc."

"It's just speculation and 99% of the time these guys don't have access to the people who know," he continued blasting the negative comments of the newly-appointed writer. "Wanted 2 is being made in a very tight circle at the moment. As a producer on the thing, I'm excited. I know who's in it and after doing 342 million at the box office we have series money to spend on everything from cast to crew to script."

'Pooh' Writer Picked Up to Pen 'Wanted' Sequel

Sequel to "", "", is moving forward with a new writer on board. In an interesting update about the in-development project, it is reported that Evan Spiliotopoulos, the co-writer of "Pooh's Heffalump Movie" and its DVD Halloween spin-off, has been tapped to pen the screenplay of the sequel.

While the original "Wanted" adaptation was written by writers Michael Brandt and Derek Haas, it appears that Universal opted to go strictly with Spiliotopoulos for "Wanted 2". Spiliotopoulos, who also penned the script for Lionsgate Films' "", is expected to develop the script which is based on a story by Chris Morgan.

'Wanted 2' to Continue Wes' Journey

As challenging as it is to write the follow-up movie to "", screenwriter Chris Morgan apparently has had ideas in mind for "". Confirming to MTV about his return to the sequel, the writer of "" hints on where the story will be brought, seeing that most of the characters in the first film are dead.

"That is the challenge here," Morgan points out the difficulty in making the second "Wanted" film before continuing to share his insight saying, "but the point is to continue the journey that Wes started in the first film. Wherever he ended up at the end of the film, now it's time to move him forward." Furthermore, he suggests that the sequel will be "opened up to be more global".

'Wanted' Sequel Takes Little From Comic Book

Confirming that he is working on developing a sequel to the surprising summer blockbuster movie "", Mark Millar shared a more interesting tidbit on "". In a recent interview with Newsarama, he revealed that the second movie will be a continuance from the first and it will make use of very little parts of the comic book.

On his involvement on developing the material, he said, "What I will be doing is providing them with a very small amount of stuff for a story, and that will be used as a basic story that they can build from." He then added, "It will be a small outline that can possibly be picked apart and not used - but it will be something exclusively for the second film, and no one will ever really see it."

With "" generating much surprise on its box office performance, sequel talks quickly follow afterwards. The hype was boosted with Terence Stamp's earlier remarks hinting the possibility of a second movie. Recently, news circulating around "" suggested that the talks have gone even further.

Words are "Wanted" producer Marc Platt has already begun to work once again with director Timur Bekmambetov and writers Michael Brandt and Derek Haas on the sequel plot. Going back to produce the sequel with fellow producer Jim Lemley, Platt revealed, "The writers are at work already, and those creative discussions are taking place."
