Scarlett Johansson's 'Barcelona' Exposes Official Trailer

"Vicky Cristina Barcelona", Woody Allen's latest feature film project has become one of the official selection movies in the 2008 Cannes Film Festival. It has been hailed to be a funny movie and the sexiest of all Allen's works. Now, one can judge by oneself whether the claims hold some truth with the release of the movie's official trailer.

Outed by The Weinstein Company earlier, the video footage promoting the tidbit provides viewers with a deeper look into the storyline than the previously release promo trailer. Though it shows lesser raunchy scenes than the promo video, this new trailer exposes how Juan Antonio played by Javier Bardem seduces Vicky and Cristina depicted by Rebecca Hall and Scarlett Johansson respectively and be successful in it. It also displays the intricate relationship between Juan and his former wife Maria Elena portrayed by Penelope Cruz, who still has deep feeling toward her ex, as well as the complication comes along with the four characters' entangled relationship.

Before the latest Woody Allen's feature film project, "Vicky Cristina Barcelona", grazes the 61st Cannes Film Festival's screens, a promotional trailer of the movie starring Scarlett Johansson, Javier Bardem and Penelope Cruz has made its way through the virtual world. Timed at nearly two minutes, the video footage gives out promises of giving a romantic entanglement story like never before.

Telling the story of two young American tourists, Vicky and Cristina, the trailer follows the two as they embark on a steamy, romantic and dramatic affair with a flamboyant painter Juan Antonio during their vacation in Spain. Words are spreading that sexy starlet Scarlett Johansson will have a "steamy sex scene" in Woddy Allen's upcoming drama comedy "Vicky Cristina Barcelona". According to the New York Post's Page Six, the 23-year-old actress has been set to have lesbian sex scene with her co-star Spanish beauty Penelope Cruz.

To the newspaper's gossip column, an insider described the scene saying, "It is also extremely erotic. People will be blown away and even shocked. Penelope and Scarlett go at it in a red-tinted photography dark room, and it will leave the audience gasping." Further, it was also rumored that aside from the lesbian scene, Johansson can also be seen in a threesome raunchy action with Cruz and Javier Bardem, who played the former husband of Cruz's character.

A new title has been applied to Woody Allen-directed latest film project set in Barcelona, Spain. The Hollywood Reporter has brought in news saying the flick is now called "Vicky Cristina Barcelona."

Set for a release in Spain by fall 2008, the romantic drama comedy previously was referred as "Midnight in Barcelona", said before by Allen who did stress that the title was tentative. Not only directs, the famed filmmaker also took duties in writing the screenplay as he consistently did on his past movies.

Woody Allen to Start Spanish Project Soon

Woody Allen's Spanish project is taking a step further with the announcement on additional cast and the filming date. In a press conference held on Monday (July 2, 2007), Allen also stated that he's looking forward to work in Barcelona with “great, great enthusiasm”.

Allen will start the movie that is tentatively titled "Midnight in Barcelona" on July 9. Those already on board as the main cast are Scarlett Johansson, Penelope Cruz, Javier Bardem and Rebecca Hall while the latest added actors are Patricia Clarkson, Kevin Dunn and Chris Messina. These people will be joined by a number secondary cast and some local actors.

Finally finding a proper name for his Spanish project, director Woody Allen has revealed to Spanish reporters on June 19 that the flick is now tentatively called "Midnight in Barcelona", The Guardian has informed.

"It's the first title I picked but it's possible that it changes," so he stated as quoted by the British paper.
