"The Ugly Truth", a new romantic comedy movie from Robert Luketic, the director of "21" and "Legally Blonde", has just got its first trailer out. Focusing on the opposite attracts idea, the trailer highlights on introducing the two main characters, Abby Richter played by Katherine Heigl and Mike Chadway portrayed by Gerard Butler.

Abby Richter is a successful morning show producer, but her search for Mr. Perfect has left her hopelessly single. One day, Mike Chadway comes along and this hardcore TV personality, who promises to spill the ugly truth on what makes men and women tick, puts her in a series of outrageous tests to prove his theories on relationships and allow her to find love. But, both of them are up for a big surprise.

'300' Star Gerard Butler to Star Opposite Katherine Heigl

The "300" star Gerard Butler has been set to join the cast of Columbia Pictures' latest project "The Ugly Truth". According to Variety, the Phantom of 2004's musical film "Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera" will star opposite "27 Dresses" star Katherine Heigl in the battle of the sexes romantic comedy.

In the film directed by Robert Luketic, the 38-year-old Scottish actor is set to portray Mike Alexander, the host of a television segment with the same title as the feature film. He will be a chauvinistic correspondent who challenged morning show producer played by Heigl in a series of outrageous tests to prove his relationships' theories and help her find love. Additionally, the comedy film is expected to start production in April.

The beauty will portray a romantically challenged morning show producer who is reluctantly embroiled in a series of outrageous tests by her chauvinistic correspondent. The clever ploys the man hatches to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love, however, lead to an unexpected result in the end.

The perception of the truth may seem dark, but reality is quite beautiful and fun. This story is what life is all about, making people lauch and having fun... and enjoy into with someone that loves you for you... This movie gets it.... Heigi is wonderful in this movie, she may be the new Dois Day of today, she so assume, only wish to see her in many more movies to come... She got it.... what it takes to put and smile in your heart for true love. Enjoy it and do see it, if you like light hearted love stories with a happy ending.... TV would be much more interesting......if this story was true... I will stick with the movies... Mike Young, Anchorage Alaska.... 5 stars for love...

This movie was super funny from start to finish. The restaurant scene was the best and much much funnier than the restaurant scene in the "When Harry met Sally" movie in which Meg Ryan did a fake "orgasm" as to the one that Katherine Heigl tried her best not to have in public!
