Slapfest International Trailer for Guy Richie's 'RocknRolla' Premiered
June 26, 2008 09:06:57Guy Richie is back and this time he brings in another movie with his signature complex and inventive storyline. At least, that's what is implied through the international trailer of his latest British gangster movie, "RocknRolla". The awesome looking trailer has been outed courtesy of Empire Online.
Giving a great introduction to the action thriller film, the video footage focuses on a troubled rock star presumed dead, a rare and expensive painting, American thugs, Russian mafia, British gangsters, and one Russian deal that ties them all together. In the trailer that is filled with men being slapped off, viewers are also presented with shirtless Gerard Butler and witty remarks that provide a bit of a comedy side of the movie.

Madonna's Hubby to Make 'RocknRolla' a Trilogy?
March 25, 2008 12:03:06Guy Richie, the director husband of pop legend Madonna, has been reported to be planning to make his latest action thriller "RocknRolla" a three set of feature films. MTV Movies Blog broke out the speculations following an interview with the film's lead actress Thandie Newton.
On the occasion, the co-star of Terrence Howard and Matt Dillon in "Crash" revealed that the action film penned, produced and helmed by Richie is the first of the trilogy set to be made by the "Revolver" director. "'RocknRolla' is one of three films and Guy's keen to get going on that straight away," explained the 35-year-old actress. "[The second and third films in the series] are going to be excellent. I can't wait."

June 26, 2007 11:06:02Going pretty fast in recruiting talents for the flick's cast, filmmakers of "RocknRolla" have delightfully submitted well-known names of Gerard Butler, Idris Elba, Tom Wilkinson, Thandie Newton, and rapper Ludacris as the early lineup of the list.
A caper movie, the project is set in motion when a Russian mobster orchestrates a crooked land deal and millions of dollars are thrown up for grabs, with all of London's criminal underworld players wanting in on the action. Butler is said to play One Two, a street-smart mobster who has learned to play both sides of the fence while Elba will be his partner Mumbles.

Guy Ritchie Going for "RocknRolla"
May 14, 2007 03:05:27Finally finds a way back into the big screen after 2005's "Revolver", Guy Ritchie has struck deals to direct a caper movie titled "RocknRolla" of which script he also wrote.
Said to be made in the same vein as the filmmaker's "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and "Snatch", the flick is being eyed to enter production this summer under Dark Castle Entertainment Banner with Warner Bros. Pictures to distribute.
