Rose McGowan's Injury Puts 'Red Sonja' on Hiatus

The production of "Red Sonja" has apparently been halted because lead actress Rose McGowan was seriously injured during a stunt. Fox News' Pop Tarts brought the matter into attention following a recent interview with the star of "Grindhouse" herself about the extent of her injury.

"I had wrist and elbow surgery and they took part of my elbow out. I had really bad nerve damage from doing stunts - I do a lot of my own stunts," the 36-year-old confessed. "I could no longer use my arm, but now I can hold a fork and drive so we're working our way up. It'll probably be another six months of rehab, but it's the price you pay for being really limber and being able to do back flips!"

Rose McGowan Clarifies Involvement in 'Red Sonja'

Rose McGowan has cleared up the air on the speculation of whether or not she is still attached to "Red Sonja". Following her Twitter post on Wednesday, August 26 that led to speculation she may well be out from the project, the Paige Matthews of WB Network series "Charmed" provided clarification on her previous words.

"To clarify press reports: Red Sonja is delayed," the 35-year-old tweeted on Friday, August 28. "I pulled out of doing it in '09. Not permanently.Hopefully will follow Conan." She then followed it up with another tweet, writing "I am still contracted to do it Red Sonja. Hopefully Filming in '10 not '09".

Possibility of 'Red Sonja' Sequel Hinted

Though the 'She-Devil with a Sword' feature film, "Red Sonja", is still way off its theatrical release, a sequel talk has come out. Sharing his thought on the possible second "Red Sonja" movie, director Douglas Aarniokoski gave out clues that the movie's franchise is on the horizon.

To MTV Splash Page, the second unit director of "Resident Evil: Extinction" hinted on the possibility, but restraining himself from letting out more. He briefly said, "I mean, if we start to talk about that, I start to give away the third act. Yes, let's just say yes. It's definitely got franchise written all over it."

Are they going to do the movie or what. I getting very annoyed. It should had started casting a more actor for the roles in this movie. The the Filming should begin soon after that.
