Certified 'Punisher: War Zone' Posters Offered for Charitable Auctions

As "" hits U.S. theaters, fans and collectors are given the chance to win authentic prize from the action drama film. On December 6, Lionsgate Films announced that they are holding eBay charitable auctions, bidding up five exclusive posters from the Lexi Alexander-directed film.

While the winners will get studio certified posters signed by the film's star along with a hand-signed letter from a Lionsgate executive verifying their authenticity, all of the proceeds will benefit The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. Hopeful can join the bidding which will end on December 12 at 13:20 PST through eBay.

More "" clips have been unleashed. Leaving the bloody action sequences behind, the snippets let out the serious parts of the R-rated action thriller movie as Frank Castle deals with grieving wife, while Jigsaw realizes the extend of his face injury. The clips are brought out by BlackFilm.

In the first clip entitled "Who Punishes You", Frank Castle comes to the house of Angela Donatelli to offer his help, but met with a pointing of gun by Angela and a question of who punishes him for killing her husband. The second clip presents Castle in a church, talking to a priest about the reasons of what he is doing, while the third and last clip shows a doctor removing Jigsaw's bandage to reveal his new damaged face.

Less than a month to its theatrical release, "" has got a couple of new pictures and one TV spot. The new photos are focused on Dominic West's villainous character, Billy Russoti a.k.a. Jigsaw. Outed by Superhero Times, the pair of images reveal the scarred and mutilated face of Punisher's foe.

Beside the pictures, a new TV spot has been put forward by Comic Book Movies. Half a minute long, the television promo wastes no time in exposing more and more never-before-seen footage from the Lionsgate Films movie. Providing fans with action sequences, it also gives out the enraged Jigsaw in action, aiming his gun to someone unseen in the scene.

Lionsgate Films have released "War Zone", the first single from "" soundtrack, and are streaming it for free. The track, which can be enjoyed through the widget below, was made especially for the action thriller movie by heavy metal musician who described it as "a punishing track for a punishing movie".

Aside from streaming the "War Zone" track, Lionsgate have also updated the official website of "Punisher" by posting samples of several tracks from the soundtrack. The earlier reports suggesting that "" inclined towards the PG-13 rating may not be true after all. An updated news regarding the matter has asserted the opposite stating that the Lionsgate's comic book adaptation movie about the anti hero famed as 'The Punisher' will stick with its R-rating.

Providing the denial is Steve Gainer, the film's cinematographer, who posted a clarifying information in the Raw Studios forum board. Parts of his message read, "The film is not (nor could it ever be) PG-13. Today I saw a cut that ran 91 minutes...The film is most certainly not all exploding heads, but will reveal a great deal of Franks personna and pain."

The news about this possible lowering of the rating came amidst the 'Lexi Alexander drama' in which it was suggested earlier that the director has been canned from the project. Still, the truth on the PG-13 rating is yet to be proven since Lionsgate have given out neither confirmation nor denial on the matter.

At the end of their presentation for their forthcoming action thriller "" at the 2008 San Diego Comic Con on July 24, the studio screened a new restricted footage. Giving others a chance to also enjoy the gory-looking video, IGN has presented it on the Internet.

Providing many new unseen footages from the movie, the compilation of clips is focused on one action sequences after another. Through the video, viewers can see more of the blood splatter which won't be able to be exposed in normal trailer. There, it can be seen people shot in the head, punched in the face with full force causing the bone structure to cave in and many other violent acts.

Two weeks ago, Paddy Considine was noted to remark that talks on him playing Jigsaw in "" had been dropped because Lionsgate decided to go with their first choice for the role. Seems the person's identity has been revealed by now, and guess who, it turns out to be "" star Dominic West.

Yes, director Lexi Alexander has confirmed on her official website that the Sheffield-born actor is billed to play the character, the main antagonist in the project also the archenemy of the titular character. Along with this, Alexander also informed that T.J. Storm and Wayne Knight would play Maginty and Microchip aka Linus Lieberman, respectively, the latter being the lone confidant who supplies guns and ammo for our vigilante hero.

Director Lexi Alexander has informed through her official site that three more actors have been picked up to join male lead in "", which is slated to begin filming next month in Montreal, Canada.

Saying she has the best cast on the planet, the German filmmaker mentioned the names to be Dash Mihok, Colin Salmon, and Doug Hutchinson. Mihok is learned to play Detective Martin Soap while Salmon and Hutchinson are billed as Agent Paul Budiansky and Loony Bin Jim, respectively.

Vigilante Frank Castle is ready to load his guns again this year. Lionsgate Film as the company producing "The Punisher 2" revealed in its new press release issued on Wednesday morning (August 1) that production on the flick has been set for an October start date with "Rome" star starring under Lexi Alexander's direction.

Marks the third screen incarnation for the Marvel Comics' anti-hero, the project reportedly will be made for an R rating and take place in New York where the titular character runs up against a mobster. Nick Santora, Kurt Sutter, Matt Holloway, and Art Marcum penned the script while Marvel Studios' Kevin Feige is producing alongside Avi Arad and Gale Anne Hurd.

Ray Stevenson is much more "Punisher" than Thomas Jan can ever be in 100more Punisher movies. Lexi Alexander did a hell of a bad ass job! This woman is bad :D *love it!* Great action, great Punisher, no matter what other people say a really great and bad villain in Jigsaw (played by Dominic West) and all in all a hell of a short brutal, bloody PUNISHER ACTION COMIC FILM! WHAT YOU WANT MORE`? don't get it! thx lexi!.. thx ray!

Jigsaw rocks, cause in this movie, you can see what a really bad villain is all about! NO MORE JOKER 4 ME.. West give us a real bloodthirsty villain and a most dangerous one at that.
