I am a massive Jodi Picoult fan and this is the first book I ever read by her. I really hope the film is just as amazing and I can't wait!

posted by <3 on Jun 26, 2009So i was kinda disappointed because i read the book couple months before the movie came out and i was so excited for months and months i counted down! and they completely ruined the ending. that's not how it ends in the book it was good up until the last 20 minutes and they just ruined the book. READ THE BOOK! and if you have not...watch the MOVIE first and then read the book because the other way around will just disappoint you:(

I loved the book. It was so good but very sad. I also saw the movie. It was completly different from the book. I won't say anything because I don't want to spoil it for anyone. But I was very dissapointed. But I still love the book!!!

I feel in love with the book it literally had me in tears from the beginning to the end so after I watched teh movie I was very dissapointed to find out they change some very important aspects of the book, so I did not enjoy it!

posted by stony on Jun 30, 2009This was a fantastic movie - if you didn't read the book. It's a great tear jerker and a nice story. But they left out many key details and some characters ceased to exist. The ending was also drastically changed. If you loved the book, you won't love the movie.

When i woke up the next morning after whatching it, my eyes were so puffy that i could barley see. You truly have to see this movie becuase it teachest you a great lesson in life. Top favorite movies of all time.

I thought the cast did really well and played their part really good! There are many people that says Diaz shouldnt play the part but I think she did great. This movie was way better than I expected. Great job!

In the book, Anna Fitzgerald (sister of Kate) dies. But, in the movie, Kate Fitzgerald (she has cancer), dies. I was a bit dissapointed because the wrong girl died. Although, the movie was still good. If I were rating the movie, and was basing my rating by how well they made the movie based on the book, then I'd give it 3 stars. But if I was just basing the movie of it's overall preformance, then I give it a high 4 or 4 1/2. It was a sad movie but good. I still wish they had made the movie a tad more like the book. The book was truly a masterpiece. It was beautifully written with great feeling. Bravo!

I am not surprised that they changed the ending, but I must say that I thought the ending in the book was a little far-fetched and overly dramatic. It seems more believable and realistic for Kate to be the one to die. Usually I hate it when a movie deviates from the book, but in this case, it sounds like I may like the movie better.
