Gearing up to the fast approaching theatrical release of "The Last House on the Left", a microsite has been developed in support of the film's promotional efforts. With a tag read "Wes Craven...The Legacy Continues", the site features not only contents related to the Wes Craven-produced thriller remake, but also subjects pertaining to the legacy of Craven, the Master of Horror himself.

In WesCravensLegacy.com, horror fans can see several videos as well as a collection of stills from "The Last House on the Left". Additionally, a series of articles about this Rogue Pictures film and other movies made by Craven, and written interviews with Craven as well as press screening Q&A for "Last House" are also made available in it.

How far would you go to hurt back the people that hurt someone you love? That is the big question asked in the trailer of "The Last House on the Left". Courtesy of Apple, the trailer presents a sneak peek into the remake of Wes Craven's 1972 horror movie, displaying ordinary parents taking revenge on the sociopaths who harmed their daughter. Aside from the trailer, three first stills of the movie have also been let out.

Soon after arriving at the remote Collingwood lake house, Mari and her friend are kidnapped by a prison escapee and his crew. Terrified and left for dead, Mari's only hope is to make it back to her parents, John and Emma, who unknowingly give a place to stay to her attackers. When her parents learn the horrifying truth, they plot to make the three strangers curse the day they came to the house.

Duo Furnishing the "House"

At last great progress has been made on "The Last House on the Left" since the announcement of it to be made at Rogue Pictures' pit last year.

Variety has revealed that the studio has picked up Dennis Iliadis and Adam Alleca to direct and pen the script for the horror thriller, respectively. Pic will be Iliadis' second directorial effort after his 2004 crime drama "Hardcore" while marking Alleca's debut in screenwriting.

Rogue Pictures Rebuilding "Last House"

After Fox Searchlight hit the big screen with "The Hills Have Eyes", it's now Rogue Pictures' turn to bring out another new version of Wes Craven's work. Making an announcement on Thursday, August 17, the company's co-presidents Andrew Karpen and Andrew Rona have revealed their intention to develop "The Last House on the Left", a remake of the filmmaker's 1972 horror classic.

While there is no word yet on cast and director, Craven has been confirmed to take seat as the film's producer alongside his longtime producing partner Marianne Maddalena and the original film's producer, Sean S. Cunningham.

It looks like a strange twist of a movie-- a curious idea. Can't wait to see it.

It shouldn't have been rated R.I have seen R movies and I love horror films. But, me and many others walked out, when we saw the brutal, rating of a teenager. You are sick if you sat through that!!!!

i didnt see it but my bro and his gf did and they walked out.. he told me never to go see it because i didnt need to see the things they did to the girl.

Great movie but I think having to watch the girl get raped was a little drastic. I loved the twisted sick way the parents got back at the criminals.
