'Fanboys 2' Already Being Planned

While "Fanboys" did not meet expectations, talks of its sequel in the making are brewing. In a recent chat with Moviehole, one of the film's stars Dan Fogler laid out in the open that director Kyle Newman is not only thinking of a sequel, but has already had an idea for the follow-up movie to the 2009-released comedy.

According to the 32-year-old actor, the sequel would have the characters from the first film regrouping for another mission. This time, they will step up the ante as they cross the sea to crash the set of "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" which is located in Australia.

The Weinstein Company have come out with a brand new trailer for "Fanboys". Bringing viewers to the crazy and dangerous road trip the Star Wars ultimate fans going through to watch "Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace" before the movie hits theaters, the video footage introduces the adventure as a suicide mission turned one ultimate road trip.

Revealing many before-seen footage from the film, the trailer begins by noting that George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch is among the most secure buildings in the world. It continues by showing a group of friends, who are die hard Star Wars fans, planning to break into it. Soon after, four of them fall into an adventurous trip which put them in some extremely funny situations, including an outrageous brawl with some hard-core Trekkies and a secret meeting with William Shatner.

Expected to be stealing its way into theaters on November 26, "Fanboys" won't be greeting its fans until 2009. Recent reports have claimed that The Weinstein Company have moved back the adventure comedy's release date to February 6, 2009.

In this new schedule, it will have to face a stiff competition from Chris Evans and Dakota Fanning-starring thriller "Push", Steve Martin-starring comedy "The Pink Panther 2" and Jennifer Aniston and Drew Barrymore-starring romantic comedy "He's Just Not That Into You".

'Fanboys' Being Recut and Reshot?

The Weinstein Company's 2006 film project that has yet hit the theaters "Fanboys" is being reported to be undergoing serious changes. According to Ain't It Cool News, the comedy movie has been re-cut and re-shot.

Reportedly, the film has been picked up by Judd Appatow's production company. Following that, he and his co-producer Shauna Robertson are making many changes and were re-shooting the film about 2-3 weeks ago. It was also said that the main plot point is changed.
