Winners Announced for the 2007 BFSC Awards
December 10, 2007 05:12:35Joining other film critics organization in revealing the best works in film industry, the Boston Society of Film Critics has picked up acclaimed big screen titles and names to be the honorees of its BSFC Awards this year.
For the Best Picture, the group turned out to have the same taste as National Board of Review and Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association did, giving the title to Coen Brothers-directed "No Country for Old Men." Furthermore, it also deemed star Javier Bardem the Best Supporting Actor for his role as Anton Chigurh.

Weekend North American Box Office of June 28 - July 1, 2007
July 02, 2007 01:07:35Taking last week baton as the first runner of domestic box office weekend is "Ratatouille". Racking in $47,227,000, the Pixar production places itself high above predicted runner this week, "Live Free or Die Hard". While the action movie has stolen an early start, it fails to beat the "mouse" and can only be satisfied getting the runner up post. The fourth installment of Die Hard closes down to $33,150,000.
Despite the #1 slot, "Ratatouille" is still a far reach to Pixar's highest grossing flick. For Bruce Willis meanwhile, it maybe is a personal satisfaction after all with his charm as John McClane still 'kicking'. Former champion "Evan Almighty" drops two places to #3 with total earning less than half of last week at $15,089,000. It is only a one third run for the Steve Carell comedy to fill in the budget of $175 mill.

"Evening" Entering Filming Process
September 14, 2006 10:09:07Successfully assembling a star-studded cast with Patrick Wilson as the latest to join in, Focus Features is starting principal photography on "Evening" this week in Rhode Island, the studio's CEO James Schamus has announced yesterday, September 13.
An adaptation of Susan Minot's best-selling novel of the same title, the movie is a production of Hart-Sharp Entertainment and features Hungarian filmmaker Lajos Koltai at helm with cast that includes Vanessa Redgrave, Natasha Richardson, Toni Collette, Claire Danes, Meryl Streep, and Glenn Close.

Patrick Wilson Spending Time in "Evening"
September 11, 2006 04:09:44"Evening" really gets more illumination as one more star is coming down under way. Variety reported that Patrick Wilson has been confirmed to join the cast of the project, a big screen adaptation of Susan Minot's best-selling novel of the same title.
Lining up with the likes of Vanessa Redgrave, Claire Danes, Toni Collette, and Hugh Dancy, Wilson will be billed to play the past object of affection of a 65-year-old cancer patient played by Redgrave as she recalls her youth while her two daughters try to come to terms with her impending death.

Koltai Is in Final Negotiations to Direct Evening
February 15, 2006 03:02:56Lajos Koltai is in final talks to take the director seat of the upcoming film "Evening." The screen adaptation of Susan Minot's best-selling novel of the same name is the story of a woman, reflecting back on one weekend in her youth when she met the love of her life, as her two daughters try to come to terms with the mother's impending death while struggling with their own personal issues.
Adapted Minot's book is Minot with the help of Pulitzer Prize-winning author Michael Cunningham. Production on "Evening" is scheduled to begin in June later this year in Rhode Island.
