Colin Firth Lifts Up Ben Barnes' Spirit in New 'Dorian Gray' Clip
September 03, 2009 03:09:01"Dorian Gray" is less than a week away from its theatrical release in the U.K., and a brand new clip from the horror thriller has been found. The clip features two of the leading men, Colin Firth's Lord Henry Wotton and Ben Barnes' Dorian Gray, and focuses on the scene wherein Wotton shows Gray that there are plenty of fish in the sea.
Dorian Gray is a wealthy but naive and irresistible young man. When he agreed to have his portrait painted by Basil Hallward, he wishes that he could remain as beautiful, youthful, and alluring as the man he sees in the portrait. Little does he know, his wish will come true. Befriending the decadent Lord Henry Wotton, he soon falls into a life of depravity and self-indulgence.

The U.K. promotional video shares sneak peek into the dark side of the movie, and unleashes glimpses of Ben Barnes as Dorian Gray, Colin Firth as Lord Henry Wotton, Rebecca Hall as Emily Wotton and Ben Chaplin as Basil Hallward.
Making such an impression to artist Basil Hallward, naive Dorian Gray agrees to become Hallward's subject of a painting which captures the full power of his youthful beauty. Through the artist, he then meets Lord Henry Wotton and is introduced to a new hedonism which suggests the only things worth pursuing in life are beauty and fulfilment of the senses.

posted by Dorian on Sep 12, 2009Dorian gray is one of the most excellent films out right now, the tention and emotion driven into every inch of your body is tremendous. its CGI is also amazing, Ben Barnes fit the part of Dorian so well. i love him to bits xx
