'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' Hits Los Angeles for Premiere

In anticipation of its theatrical release in late December, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" has been brought to Los Angeles for its premiere event. The special screening gala was held on Mann's Village Theater in L.A. on Monday, December 8, evening and saw the streaming in of many Hollywood celebrities.

Several of the movie's stars attending the event included Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, Julia Ormond, Tilda Swinton and Jason Flemyng. Furthermore, President of Warner Bros. Alan Horn and CEO of Paramount Pictures Brad Grey were seen joining director David Fincher and producer Frank Marshall on the special evening.

Soundtrack to 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' to Be Released Mid-December

In anticipation of the Christmas Day release of "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button", Concord Records have announced the release date of the movie's original soundtrack. Through a press release on Wednesday, December 3, the record label let out that the soundtrack will be available in U.S. stores on Tuesday, December 16.

Exploring the life of someone who is born an old man and ages backwards, the album consists of two discs. The first disc contains 23 original scores composed, conducted and produced by awards-winning composer Alexandre Desplat, while the second one contains 19 songs from the movie from the one titled "My Name is Benjamin" to Louis Armstrong's "Dear Old Southland". About a month away from its theatrical release in December, "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" has brought forward few of its stills to attention. The pictures present Benjamin Button in different life phases from his baby to his old age in which he turns younger.

One of the photos shows him interacting with his love interest in a dance studio. Another picture displays him sitting on the deck of a ship reading a letter, while the other one presents a lot younger looking Button playing chest game. The remaining two images let out him being cradled and him sitting on a wheelchair as a seven years old boy in an 80-something years old body.

Back in late May, an international teaser trailer of drama mystery "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" have leaked out. At the time, though it gives out first look into the Brad Pitt-starrer movie, not many people get the true idea of the film due to its Spanish language. However, the brand new teaser trailer will definitely provide viewers with the background story.

Containing exact same footages as the international teaser, this compilation of clips acts to be the English version of the former teaser. The Spanish language video footage has been released in the theaters with "Indy 4", but hasn't officially come out online.

With a shot of a clock's hand and a man introducing himself saying, "My name is Benjamin Button" in Spanish, the trailer which can be enjoyed below brings forward the mystery behind Button's life. When the normal clock should move on to the next minute, the pictured clock goes backward giving the idea that unlike other ordinary people Button's life started and ended oddly. He was born old at the fragile age of 80 that is, and as he grows older his appearance becomes younger and younger each day. Brad Pitt finally reaches his goal. Looking forward to join "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" for at least a year, the Hollywood hunk has satisfyingly been billed to play the titular character in the project which he is slated to film after wrapping "Ocean's Thirteen" this summer.

Planned to start production in late fall this year, the picture will be directed by David Fincher based on the scripts written by Eric Roth from a story by F. Scott Fitzgerald to be released under Paramount and Warner Bros. with Kathleen Kennedy plus Frank Marshall as producers.

Pitt is going to play as Benjamin Button in the new silver screen drama, entitled "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button". This piece will also reunite him with a Hollywood movie director, David Fincher, who once directed Jodie Foster in "Panic Room". Fincher also handled Madonna and Sting in some of their video clips.

Haunting, evocative movie--unforgettable! A fabulist's tale of the inexorable forwardness of time. Tremendously moving...I can't quite put its effect into words. Everything, fate, loss, the ravages of age...all heightened by the fable of backwardness of physical aging of the main character. Subtle and incredible. Starting at the beginning with the sensless and tragic loss of lives of the clockmaker's sons. The audience is made to feel the actual sense of loss that underlies and underscores our every-day lives. People die, are lost even while alive to the ravages of time.... A philosophical and cinematic masterpiece!
