Paul W.S. Anderson, who is currently shooting "", has planned to keep himself busy after wrapping the movie. His partner in "Resident Evil", producer Jeremy Bolt, recently told press that the helmer, who has been set to produce "", is circling two upcoming movie projects.

According to Bolt, Anderson has once again eyed the helmer position for "", in which James Wan has been attached to direct. Additionally, he has put his name in the unofficial bidding for directing "".

Producer/co-writer Paul W.S. Anderson recently told MTV about what to expect from his upcoming "". Though the adaptation of the 1980's Nintendo game is still likely to feature some characters from the original version, the filmmaker said that the movie is more than just about the creatures.

"One of the things with 'Castlevania' is it's not just about the creatures but the environment trying to get to you as well," Anderson claimed. He further admitted the movie will feature some of the original version details, including "the whip", the weapon which is used by leading character Simon Belmont, and the "creatures", which Belmont encounters on his way through Dracula's castle.

Looks like the name of Paul W.S. Anderson has been dropped completely from "" despite previous reports stating he would still be with the project to revise the script he himself had written following his decision to not serve as the flick's director any longer.

Info coming from Bloody-Disgusting states that Rogue Pictures has replaced the filmmaker with Ian Jeffers by now for a total rewrite on the screenplay. A relative newcomer in the movie industry, the man made his screen-writing debut in the upcoming "" and recently got appointed to pen for indie drama "Living Conditions."

Putting the fate of "" into new hands, Rogue Pictures has appointed "" helmer Sylvain White to handle directing matters on the project once entrusted to Paul W.S. Anderson.

The latter initially was intended for the task as he got assigned to pen the script, but finally decided to step aside to direct "" instead. However, the man will still stick to the flick to work on a rewrite on the screenplay alongside White.

According to DeadCentral.com, director Paul W.S. Anderson has shockingly decided to quit the flick without clear reasons and has shifted his attention to work on his other project of "Deathrace 3000" instead. It is very surprising indeed since the action filmmaker was previously noticed to be very enthusiastic about developing the movie, having planned to film it in the Transylvanian region of Romania by fall or winter.

Securing one more great deal, Rogue Pictures has obtained distribution rights to action/horror flick "" for North America and the U.K regions as well as for Spain and German-speaking territories with Crystal Sky handling sales for the rest of the world, Variety has learned.

Based on Konami's long-running game franchise of the same name, the project tells about the clash between Dracula and the vampire-hunting Belmont family which has spanned for centuries. It is revealed, however, that the film will mostly take place in 15th century Transylvania.
