Card Trick Clip From 'The Brothers Bloom'
May 05, 2009 03:05:45A new clip from Rian Johnson-directed "The Brothers Bloom" has been released by Summit Entertainment. Posted via Apple, the snippet is entitled "Card Trick" and lasts for more than two minutes. It centers on Rachel Weisz's beautiful and eccentric heiress character by the name of Penelope.
The clip opens with a shot of Penelope's hands straightening a deck of card before cutting it in half while her voice is heard in the background. "When I was five, I got really bad...rashes," she begins explaining her childhood condition to Adrien Brody's Bloom who is sitting across the table. As she continues recalling, she performs a card trick and reveals that her condition turns out being an error.

April 08, 2009 09:04:26A brand new trailer for upcoming drama "The Brothers Bloom" has been released by Summit Entertainment via Yahoo!. Though it doesn't offer much changes from the first trailer, this new video footage still helps to refresh memory of what this movie is all about. It also serves as a revised trailer as it provides some new title cards, including "From the Writer/Director of Brick", and some new critic pull quotes.

'Brothers Bloom' Widely Released in 2009
September 02, 2008 11:09:11One of the selected movies to be premiered at the 33rd Annual Toronto International Film Festival, crime comedy drama "The Brothers Bloom" has been scheduled earlier to get a December 19 screening time, but to the surprise of many the December release date has been listed as limited release. In further interesting tidbit, it is noted that the Rian Johnson's movie will not be released nationwide until January 16, 2009.
Unearthed firstly in Rian's Forum, the changing of the schedule has been confirmed by Johnson himself. Posting a message as his response to the posted message, he wrote, "It's true. I'm sorry I didn't post it earlier, it was all very hush hush and still being talked out, I actually didn't think they were going to release it until next week."

Mark Ruffalo Plays Trick on "Brothers Bloom"
February 14, 2007 03:02:22Completing the main cast in "The Brothers Bloom", Mark Ruffalo has reached agreement to take starring part in the flick as the older brother in a veteran conman team who becomes the center of the film's story.
Playing the younger one is Adrien Brody while Rachel Weisz and Rinko Kikuchi will portray a mysterious millionaire and the brothers' secretive accomplice, respectively. Production starts on March 19 this year around twelve countries in Asia and Europe with Rian Johnson directing as well as penning the script.

Rian Johnson Nurtures "Brothers Bloom"
August 08, 2006 02:08:09A new big screen project is on its way to be developed by writer-director Rian Johnson. The indie filmmaker has revealed to CHUD.com through an interview that the feature is entitled "The Brothers Bloom" and tells about two guys who grow in and out of foster homes during their childhood while learning to survive by becoming con men.
While either cast or crew has not yet been unveiled, Johnson is eyeing the beginning of 2007 to start the film's production with aim to release it around 2008.

havent seen the movie but just wanted to comment on Lou Lumenick's quote calling Darjeeling Limited a "fiasco." You sir, should find an exceptionally tall edifice to throw yourself off.

The script was wonderful, the story had me laughing the entire time. I loved it. The acting was fantastic too. I had no doubts in the acting with the cast. The end had a bit of cheese to it, but otherwise perfect! :)
