Jim Sheridan's 'Brothers' Offers New Trailer
November 06, 2009 10:11:46A month shy of "Brothers" theatrical release in December, Lionsgate came forth with a brand new trailer. This fresh promo video, outed via Yahoo! Movies, is shorter than the one released previously, but it focuses more on the romantic relationship between Natalie Portman and Jake Gyllenhaal's characters and its consequences.
Sam and Tommy are brothers that are natural foils for each other. Sam is a family man who is about to embark on his fourth tour of duty, while Tommy is the black sheep of the family and a drifter just out of jail. But, when Sam's Black Hawk helicopter is shot down in the mountains of Afghanistan and he is presumed dead, Tommy is thrown into the unexpected as he is now responsible of Sam's wife, Grace, and two young daughters.

July 04, 2009 10:07:12Lionsgate Films has given away a sneak peek at their latest war drama, "Brothers", through the film's first trailer. The promo video makes its debut via ET Online and shares the first look at Jake Gyllenhaal, Tobey Maguire and Natalie Portman as they star as the three main characters, Tommy, Sam and Grace.
Sam is a family man who is about to embark on his fourth tour of duty. His brother, Tommy, however, is the black sheep of the family and a drifter just out of jail. When Sam's Black Hawk helicopter is shot down in the mountains of Afghanistan, this steadfast marine is presumed dead. Jim Sheridan to Unite the "Brothers"
April 26, 2007 03:04:17Set to get himself attached to another big screen project, Jim Sheridan is reportedly involved in talks to direct wartime drama "Brothers", which will be an Americanized version of Danish filmmaker Susanne Bier's 2004 effort.
Already hired David Benioff to pen the script, the project is said to tell the story of two brothers, one an officer in the Army and the other an ex-convict, whose lives are irrevocably changed as one tries to cope with the scars of war while his troubled younger brother becomes increasingly drawn to his sister-in-law.
