January 09, 2008 11:01:17Nominations were announced Tuesday, January 8 for the 39th Annual National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards. With "The Great Debaters" led the way with eight nominations on the Motion Picture Categories, "Everybody Hates Chris" and "Girlfriends" were both the leading nominees in TV Categories, picked up seven nominations each.
As for "Everybody Hates Chris," the sitcom broadcast on the CW Network, featuring fictional characters and situations broadly based on real people and situations inspired by the teenage experiences of comedian Chris Rock was nominated for the categories of:

Forbes Magazine's Hollywood's Top 10 Earning Stars Under 21

While the other famous celebrities are busy making the headlines, the Olsen clans make more than just headlines, money. The twin sisters, Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen, made reportedly an estimated $40 million during the year 2006, such amount enough to bring them to land the top spot of Forbes magazine's Hollywood's Top Earning Stars Under 21 list.
The Olsens, who don't turn 21 until June 13th later this year, have thus proven that not only they are good in acting but making money as well. Come in 2nd place on the list is young actor Daniel Radcliffe who earned an estimated $13 million last year for his lead role in "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix". Fresh from the rehab Lindsay Lohan is ranked 3rd made $6 million.
The 37th NAACP Image Awards Nominations
January 12, 2006 10:01:57The 37th annual NAACP Image Awards nominations announced Tuesday Jan 10 was dominated by UPN series "Everybody Hates Chris" which was up for five trophies including that of Outstanding Comedy Series, Actor in a Comedy Series for Tyler James Williams, Actress in a Comedy Series for Tichina Arnold, Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for Terry Crews and Director of a Comedy Series for Ken Whittingham. The set, chronicling the semi-fictionalized childhood of Chris Rock, tied Fox's "The Bernie Mac Show" and UPN's "Half & Half" for most nominations in the comedy series categories.
In the meantime, Kanye West, Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey earned four nominations each, including Best Song and Album. Apart, drama mystery flick "Crash" topped the movie category with six nominations, including Outstanding Motion Picture, Supporting Actress for Thandie Newton and Supporting Actor for Don Cheadle, Larenz Tate and Terrence Howard, who also was up for Outstanding Actor for the rap drama "Hustle & Flow."
