"My girlfriend is Laura O'Toole, and she was in 'Equus' with me. But I don't really want to talk about that, because she's not here and it's not fair," the British actor tells U.K. OK! Magazine.
Daniel and Laura were co-stars in a revival of Peter Shaffer's 1973 play "Equus". Laura was known as the understudy for the lead female character of Jill, played by Joanna Christie, who engaged in a lengthy nude sex scene with Daniel's character Alan Strang.

Keeps being active in film industry despite his age, veteran actor Peter O'Toole is engaged in final negotiations to have a starring role in Lionsgate Films' drama feature "The Christmas Cottage", The Hollywood Reporter has revealed.
Based on the painting made by Thomas Kinkade, the picture is said to be partly biographical and will follow events that led the Sacramento-born painter to become an accomplished artist. Here O'Toole will assume the role of Glen Weissler, based on one of Kinkade's mentors.

The eighth animated feature film from Disney/Pixar, the movie presents the story of a rat named Remy whose passion for cooking leads him into a hilarious and exciting race that turns the culinary world of Paris upside down. Other cast members include Patton Oswalt, Brad Garrett, Brian Dennehy, and Janeane Garofalo with "The Incredibles" helmer Brad Bird directing for a June 29, 2007 release in the U.S.
Tool's Tour Rescheduled

Due to drummer Danny Carey's recent accident that tore his bicep, the progressive rock band Tool has to reschedule the tour dates. The Japan-North American tour that has started since February will continue again on April 30 in Reno, Nevada and consequently ends on May 24 in Baton Rouge.
After that, the band still owes a headlining performance at the 2007 Bonnaroo Festival. It is held in mid-June, taking the venue in Manchester, Tennessee, and conducted for the promotion of the band's "10,000 Days" album that went 2 times platinum.
Drummer's Injury Forced Tool to Postpone Its North American Tour

It is absolutely unfortunate for Tool that they have to postpone their forthcoming North American tour after drummer Danny Carey injured his arm.
On the cancellation, the band's Web site reported Wednesday Feb 21st Carey tore a bicep over the weekend and underwent surgery Wednesday morning. The surgery went well, but Carey won't recover in time for the planned start of the tour on March 15 at the Pearl in Las Vegas.

As of this year, the Bonnaroo Music Festival is scheduled to take place June 14-17 on a 700-acre farm in rural Manchester, Tenn., 60 miles south of Nashville. And among the 75 acts slated to perform at the music festival, there are the likes of The Police, The White Stripes, Tool and Wilco.
The complete lineup, to be announced Wednesday Feb 14th, includes planned performances by Widespread Panic, The Roots, Franz Ferdinand, and The Flaming Lips. Also slated to perform among others are The Decemberists, The Hold Steady, Regina Spektor and many more.

Often considered a key indicator of films and figures vying for Academy Awards, the Screen Actors Guild unveiled yesterday, January 4, 2007 at the Pacific Design Center's SilverScreen Theater the list of contenders competing for honors at its 13th Annual SAG Awards, set to be held on date 28 the same month at the Los Angeles Shrine Exposition Center.
Picking up a range of films of different genres, the union gave three nods apiece to three acclaimed film features of "Dreamgirls", "Little Miss Sunshine", and "Babel", notably that of Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture which the all three are set against ensemble drama "Bobby" and mob saga "The Departed."

The largest critics' organization in U.S and Canada, the Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) revealed yesterday, December 12, the nominees of its Critics' Choice Awards to compete for being the best as it holds the ceremony on January 12 at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium.
"Dreamgirls", "Babel", "The Departed", and "Little Miss Sunshine" scored most nominations with seven nods apiece, including that for Best Picture. Those four were joined by six other movies in the category namely "Blood Diamond", "Little Children", "Notes on a Scandal", "The Queen", "Letters From Iwo Jima", and "United 93", the latter two already snatching two film awards each.

Constructing a high-profile cast lineup, a group of Hollywood's great talents consisting of Michael Madsen, John Malkovich, Damian Lewis, Stephen Dillane, Daryl Hannah, Peter O'Toole, Saffron Burrows, and Virginie Ledoyen, are all onboard to bring highlight to "Love and Virtue", a period epic project revolving around the battles that raged within King Charlemagne's empire.
Both Madsen and Malkovich will portray barbarian marauders while Lewis is set to be a knight serving the king, played by Dillane, who falls for Ledoyen's character. American progressive Rock band Tool has just expanded their current schedule of North American tour dates, bringing the current total of planned performances to 27. The additional stops are said to include Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Detroit and Cleveland.
According to Billboard, the late-summer jaunt will kick off August 5 at San Diego's Street Scene Festival, and will wrap up September 29 in Mansfield, Massachusetts.

The new tour schedule is a promise they keep for their fans after rapid sold-out tickets back in their tour in May. After being sold-out, leaving huge fans remained out from watching the tour, bassist Justin Chancellor and lead singer Maynard James Keenan promised to pay the disappointment off by returning around North America in late summer. The words are indeed kept.

With 526,000 units sold in its first week of release, the album has become an obvious evidence that Dixie Chicks really deserves two thumbs up.

Meanwhile, top the Billboard 200 at 2nd position is Nick Lachey's "What's Left of Me" which has been sold for another 172,000 copies.

Metal Band Tool Plans to Release A DVD Single

Music act Tool seemingly wants to continue their success. Not long after creating abuzz in Billboard Hot 200 with their latest album "10,000 Days", they next reveal plans to release a DVD single in the coming weeks to promote "Vicarious," the seven-minute single from the new set.
The DVD single reportedly is configured like a folding book, with one flap carrying stereoscopic lenses, and the other a booklet with sets of paintings and photographs on each page. When spied through the lenses, each set emerges as one 3-D image.

Their first album in five years sold 564,000 copies in its first week of release, such amount enough to bring the music act to No. 1 spot on the chart. Meanwhile, Pearl Jam's self titled album debuts at No. 2, sold more than 279,000 copies.
Debut at No. 3 is Mobb Deep's "Blood Money" which has been sold 106,000 copies, ahead of Disney's "High School Musical soundtrack" at No.4 and Rascal Flatts' "Me & My Gang" at No. 5. Hard rock band Tool unveils a North American tour plans, beginning May 2 in Seattle, the same day they have their first album in five years, "10,000 Days" released. But, prior to the tour, the band will first of all headline appearance at the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival held April 30th in southern California.
Subsequent to the dates, Tool will play the European festival circuit, with dates on tap through July 9 at Finland's Turku Festival. After a five-years-hiatus, fans of music group Tool will happily welcome their idol's coming back to music scene as the rock act has prepared their new album titled "10,000 Days" for a May 2nd release date.
Details on the new set have yet been revealed, except that it is of Volcano Records project. And subsequent to the release of "10,000 Days", Tool will headline the Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival on April 30 in Indio, Calif, which will mark its first U.S. show since late 2002.
