Video Premiere: Tickle Me Pink's 'Typical'
August 05, 2008 11:08:40To promote their debut LP, "Madeline", newly-emerging rock act Tickle Me Pink have released a music video for their popular first single, "Typical". The clip was officially premiered on MTV2 Unleashed on Monday, August 4.
The video that sees the band playing inside a motel was directed by Christopher Sims, the same person who delivered videos for From First to Last and Jimmy Eat World. It also becomes the music video that captures bassist Johnny Schou who tragically died on July 1, the day the album was released.
Moving On, Tickle Me Pink Gear Up for Tour
July 17, 2008 04:07:35Mourning time is over now for Tickle Me Pink as after losing their bassist Johnny Schou on July 1 the band have decided to move on and hit the road for a tour this year. Confirming their plan to get their act back after Johnny's tragic death, the band's frontman Sean Kennedy said, "We not only have lost a band member, but our best friend. The process is just beginning. We will never be able to replace Johnny, but through this tragedy we have all grown even closer together and are going to make him proud."
The band plan to start their tour on July 18 in San Diego, C.A. and set to close it on September 20 in Austin Texas. The full list for their upcoming tour can be checked out at the rocker's official MySpace page or at their official website. For the tour, to replace Johnny, the rock act have added a new face Joey Barba, who is also an old friend of the band.
Tickle Me Pink's Bassist's Death Ruled Inconclusive
July 02, 2008 10:07:35Tickle Me Pink announced through their official site on Tuesday, July 1 that they have lost one of their members. Bassist Johnny Schou, was found dead at his home in Fort Collins, Colorado on Tuesday morning and autopsy is still ruled inconclusive.
Coloradoan.com reported that the cause of death of the 22-year-old was investigated through an autopsy later on that fateful day. Chief deputy coroner Diane Fairman said that there was "no obvious cause of death" and that the final result of the autopsy that includes microbiology and toxicology tests, will be done in weeks to come.
